Good: The lady behind the desk took pleanty of time to help me select a frame. Prices were about the same for a private Dr. I don't trust the Dr. at the discount place with Kirkland frames. You will not find a doctor that does a more thorough exam on you! He takes his time to be 100% sure that you are diagnosed and prescribed correctly. He does have a good sense of humor too. Recently there is a male addition that sits up front too. They have ALL been helpful and quick to respond..

I was told to check the reviews and I did so. It is interesting to see the opinions of 9 people, all who have dealt with the same staff members, and the differing opinions of the same people! Of course at times, there will be differences between a patient and a staff person. We try to bend over backwards to please and satisfy. Everyone has a bad day, patients and staff. Some patients are upset that their insurance doesn't cover more and they are upset with the bearer of this information. I've heard people get upset after 10 minutes of delay in the waiting room...10 minutes! But the patient in the exam room chair wouldn't want me to rush them through because the person currently waiting is in a hurry. Nor would the person waiting once THEY are being seen. Sometimes a pair of glasses is promised for an approximate time and the lenses are not received from the supplier in time for this schedule to be met. Some patients' insurance programs require that an outside lab, over which we have no control, make the glasses and they are slow because they do thousands. Some are upset because we filled their M.D.'s Rx and it was not right. I will always make sure that the final dispensation is done right. If a frame is back ordered, I will use the same frame in a different color as a loaner until the frame comes in in order to speed up the job. No one ever feels rushed. But there can be personality differences. Expectations are not always met when someone tries bifocal soft contact lenses for the first time. There are so many variables involved in an optometrist visit. It's not, "here's a pill, take it". Some patients cannot be corrected to 20/20 no matter what Rx is supplied. In summation, we have been in the same center in Encinitas since March of 1985 with a patient base of over 20,000. We do the best we can and sometimes we fall short. Other times we are better than expected. But, from now until whenever "then" is, this office will endeavor to satisfy to the best of our ability. Thanks for reading.

I have been going to Dr. Mozlin on and off for the last 5 years only because he takes my insurance plan. Over Christmas last year when I went for my appt. I was so happy with the new front office/asst. he had. What a change from that rude, horrible woman he had before. I recently went in to get my glasses adjusted and saw she was back! As always, she was rude, ordered me to sit down and wait...I just turned around and left. I will never go to that place again!

When I went for my exam at Christmas time was so happy to see he finally hired a new front office/asst. that was very pleasant and helpful. Last week I needed my glasses adjusted and walked out because he has hired that rude, mean woman back. I will never go there again because of her!

I have been seeing Dr Mozlin and his staff (including the former technician Ron and the female receptionist/office manager).
I have found them to all be very accommodating, and fairly easy with which to work. I have even gone to other eye doctors in San Diego and Encinitas, and have found those practices less helpful and friendly.
My experiences with Mozlin and his team have been professional and I will continue to frequent their practice. I wish they had a more contemporary, higher-end selection of frames, but,, this is Encinitas, and not Paris or New York.

Why would a Doctor of any sort who's wanting to run a professional business want a Rude, unprofessional, Arrogant receptionist helping him run his business. I was not shocked at all when I looked at the reviews other have written. Over the years we have know 6 individuals (4 neighbors in Encinitas) who is no longer going to Dr Mozlin due to her (we know who) I would think the Doctor would want to rethink his business practices because she obviously does not give a dam.

The receptionist or whoever works for this doctor seemed really rude and hardly interested in setting up an appointment. She did not even want to take my information down or check on my insurance information. Maybe she doesn't know how. She wanted me to go home and call them back. I think I saw Dr. Mozline, but I left annoyed after not being able to get an appointment the front desk. They must not need any new patients. I use to work for a small practice and I would never have turned away or had them check on their own benefits. That is just lazy front desk. Not sure what's up with this office. Maybe he has poorly trained relatives working there. Who knows.
