Amazing Salon 9/28/2007

Like any salon, stylists see things differently. I rate Detour Salon as #1 in the county. They have a great creative team and they are busy and are obviously successful. Not every stylist is going to do things the same. I like that aspect. They seem to like their jobs, the place is very stylish and It's a fun area of town. Not a typical strip mall location. I see Michelle, but have seen Maria and Rain as well. All of my cool friends go there. more

Great Hair Salon and Shop 10/28/2005

I went to Detour recently and had a good experience with the stylist. She did a great job figuring out a way to cut and style my hair that would go with my lifestyle and way of caring for my hair. She explained how to use the various products she used. She also gave me a sheet with all the products she used circled in case I wanted to purchase them later. It was kind of expensive, but she did a good job. They have a little shop right next to/connecting with the saoln with lots of products as well. more

Cute but expensive Salon 9/3/2005

This is an amazing salon that is hip and stylish. All of the hair stylists are amazing at what they do and they are good at coming up with new styles for their clients. Most of this salon's clients are females yet they also cut guys hair also. When i was there, my stylist was a young girl named Rain who was really excited about what she does and gave me one of the best haircuts that I have ever had. However, it was a bit pricy. more

Avoid this Detour 8/10/2005

I've been to this salon twice and I wasn't that happy with the cut or service either time. Don't come here for a specialty cut or if you have curly or textured hair (even though they claim expertise in these areas). I think that both this salon and their sister salon Second St. are pretty mediocre at best. more

Pricey But Worth It 8/9/2005

I like this salon because it is simply about getting your hair styled. I'm not one for the idle salon chair chatter, so thankfully the stylists seem more concerned with their jobs - this I appreciate. The interior is roomy with high ceilings and there is lots of space, I think this helps eliminate the feeling of being rushed. By the way, great cuts and color! more
