Rudy's is fun at any age. One of a kind artistic tables and interesting art on the walls (and on the tattooed waitstaff) and indie rock on the sound system keeps the atmosphere creative and casual. Kids can color with crayons and order off a special kids menu. Diner-chic menu includes gourmet salads, burgers, sandwiches, award-winning french fries, as well as beer and wine. Rudy's has outdoor seating, happy hour specials and is open until 1am on friday and saturday nights. Keep in mind that the brunch lines are way too long, so it's much better to check this spot out for weekday lunch or dinner any night.

This is a furniture consignment shop. It's a great resource if you're looking to buy good pieces at reasonable prices (because they're used) OR if you're looking to sell pieces that are worth too much to simply garage sale. The way it works: You bring your furniture to them, you price it (they can assist) and then it stays on their showroom floor until it sells. You receive a percentage (50%?) of the selling price. Some pieces go really fast. If it hangs around more than a month, the price gets discounted. All pieces are in very good condition. Styles range from antiques to contemporary and include living room, dining, bedroom, office, outdoor, rugs, artwork, and more. It's a great store to browse for an item, if you don't know exactly what style you want but want to gather ideas.

Furenzu describes their cuisine as "new wave Asian
cuisine served tapas style." They try to use organic and fresh ingredients. Their bathroom is freaking GORGEOUS.
I can't help it. I can't think of this restaurant without thinking of their bathroom. The whole place is gorgeous, but the bathroom is so cool. I mean, the sink is like a golden basin set on top of a dresser. But it's a sink!
They are fun: they do things like have people email them for free drinks coupons to celebrate their anniversary, or give people a free appetizer if they can guess what on the menu is "in a nest." The menu itself is cute: different sections are named things like "not yet large plates," and items are called things like "shrimp in a nest" and other cute wonders. Some items can be too sweet, but by and large it is a tasty place.

Last night, I was at Furenzu for the second night in a row. Can't seem to keep away! I wanted to try everything on the menu and everything was absolutely delicious! Geniusly crafted with a very unique combination of flavors. My favorites are the salt and pepper tofu, the duck confit with pureed cauliflower, pasta in a triumverate of flavored caviar: cognac, wasabi and truffles (mmmm!!!!) and the goat cheese pockets. The staff is very attentive and it adds to Furenzu's uber-cozy atmosphere. Yesterday, I had the salmon cakes with a glass each of the Patric Bottex Bugery Cerdon Rose, Prosecco and a Jeune Vignes... they were all fantastic, giving such a splendid summer surprise. Refreshing, light and very delicate in taste. I love the portions which allow you to try a little of everything, just like eating Frech. I highly recommend this destination restaurant. It's a hideaway to be discovered. Ask for the chef! She's the most gracious host.
Pros: Great ambience. Amazing food. Destination area.
Cons: You always seem to want more and more!!!

She met with us twice before the wedding to go over the details which made things stress free on the wedding day despite the fact that the bride was running late. She was very personable, easy going but firm which was critical on a stressful day. She got some great photos without getting in people's way. She put the proofs in very nice albums (both formals and casuals) and the arrangement was perfect so it became our official wedding album and saved us a lot of time. We decided to go with all digital photos and bought the DVD of all the photos - some of which she converted to black-and-whites that looked really cool. We did it so we could reprint some of the photos and send them with our thank you notes. On top of all this, the price was very reasonable.

The woman who works here most afternoons is really friendly, and she has a cute daughter who is sometimes playing. There are all your basic (presumably) Indian grocery items you could want. I love to make curries, so I can find great curry spices here. There is also a large selection of Indian music albums available. I buy my phone cards here because they are way cheaper than Long's Drugs across the street. They also have those yummy cardamom sticky desserts. I don't know what they are called, but they sure are good. I'd say, give them a try!
