Aww, come on Allyson, you can't be so quick to judge. Dr. Mulvey talks very fast and I do think his moods change from appointment to appointment and yes, if you are overweight he wants you to get healthy, duh. Isn't that what he's supposed to do? I think about what I want to talk say before I get in front of him to speed things up and help get everything in quickly. I like the way he types everything while he's with you. I also think it's good that he likes to check into to things rather than pat you on the head and dismiss. Sometimes he's a bit too thorough and if you are sesitive he can hurt your feelings once in awhile. BUT, he really does care about you, all of you, even the chunky parts! The worse part about the experience is the wait and even that has improved tremendously in the past year.

I like to shop at hte Acme Market in Elkton. Each week, I get the circular and see what products are on sale and what products I use. I go to the store and stock up on items I use regularly when they are on sale. In addition, I use coupons. I get such good deals!
There are always a lot of great items on sale at Acme. I really like to get a bargain!
I think that Acme has very fresh foods too. Their produce department has fresh fruits and veggies. Everything always looks like it is just perfectly ripe (except the bananas which are sometimes green but always turn yellow in a day or two at home!)
I got my daughter many birthday cakes at Acme and they make really great cakes. My husband got a photo cake here too and it was so cool!!! They also have a wide variety of types of breads and other baked goods. There are always some neat looking cookies in the display case!
I get my prescriptions filled at Acme too. It is so convenient to bring in my prescription, do my grocery shopping and then go back to pick up the medication. It's perfect one stop shopping.
In addition, there is a nice floral department, a great deli with a wide variety of fresh meats and cheeses, and seafood and meat department as well.
Everyone who works at Acme in Elkton is very friendly and helpful so that is great too.
Oh, they are doing some remodelling there now and sometimes it is a little messy or things are moved around. There are sheets at the front ofthe store to tell you where to find items and the associates are always happy to help as well. I'm sure when the remodelling is done, it will be an even nicer place to shop!!

I went to the eye doctor here only one time. I didn't go back because I felt that their optical center was both pushy and not helpful. When I went to pick out glasses, they did not advise me in the way other places have. I wasn't sure what I liked or what would be best for the prescription I was getting but they didn't help me. The person just wanted me to make a selection. When I asked if I could get my prescription to take it elsewhere, they told me I'd have to come back another time because they had to get it from the doctor who was too busy at that time.
The doctor herself (I can't remember her name) was good when I saw her. She was thorough and friendly.

Kmart is an okay place to shop for some things like cosmetics and medicines and school supplies. I tend not to buy their clothing because their kids sizes run pretty small and don't last too long. Sometiems, however, they have a big clearance and you can get clothes there really cheap and then it is worth it. I mean, if I buy a sweatshirt that only lasts a season but it was only $1 then it is okay. I would hate to pay the regular price of $15 for the same sweatshirt though. If you go towards the end of the season, you can usually catch one of these clearance specials. They have a pharmacy department and a seasonal department with lots of plants in the summer and winter/Christmas-y stuff in the winter. They also have a photo developing place there which does a nice job, usually. Oh, they took out their cafe so don't expect to get a snack there anymore! Oh well.

The staff at Cecil County Pediatrics is wonderful! All the nurses are so good with children and they seem to like their jobs! The doctor we visited, Dr. Horrell, is also very good. He is thorough and also good with children. They have 2 locations in Elkton. I would recommend Cecil County Pediatrics if you are looking for a pediatrian in Elkton.

Dr. Horrell was my daughter's pediatrican for several years. At one time, my insurance said she could only visit doctors in Maryland and she had seen several before I found Dr. Horrell. None of the others lasted more than one visit because I was very unhappy with them. After one doctor wanted to do a full CAT scan on my daughter (because she was running a fever and he couldn't figure out why), I visited Dr. Horrell who very easily diagnosed an ear infectin which was quickly cleared up by medications. Dr. Horrell has seen my daughter for her yearly check ups and he is always very friendly and helpful. His staff is great too. They are all very good with kids!
Despite this, I must admit that I have switched my daughter's doctor. She is now allowed to see doctors in nearby Delaware and although Dr. Horrell is great, the doctor she now sees is even better!!!

My husband goes to Dr. Gar-El and he really likes him. Dr. Gar-El is a caring doctor and very thorough. He was able to diagnose my husband and provide many sample medications for him so he didn't have to go to the pharmacy and buy medications that he may not stay on. Dr. Gar-El had no problems referring my husband to a specialist when he needed specialized care.

I visited the Grifasi Holloway Eyecare when I needed a general eye check up. The doctor that I saw there was very friendly and took her time with me during my appointment. She was thorough in her evaluation and recommended that I needed knew glasses. I have to say that I was very pleased with the doctor in this practice!Now, the problem came when it was time to choose my new eyeglasses. This place has their own optical center and you can pick out your new glasses right on premises. Now, I personally find it very hard to pick out new glasses on my own. I second guess whether they look good or if they are the right shape for my face or whatever. In the past and at other places since, I have found that the person running the optical center will give guidance as to what would look good and what is fashionable, etc. The person at this optical center did none of those things just told me to let her know when I had chosen something. Well, I could not choose like this. After looking for quite a while and not getting any assistance even after asking, what do you think of this pair? and getting an answer of,Is that what you are going to go with? I told the lady that I would have to come back another time. I decided that I wanted to get my glasses at a place that would provide me some more assistance so I went back and asked that my prescription be written down for me. They were very hesitant to do this even though it is within my right to ask for it. I had to wait for quite a while and get grilled by several people as to WHY I wanted my prescription written down. I did finally get it but I would not go back there because of this incident. I did not feel comfortable there after this!SO, I give the doctor a good rating for the examination but I give a poor rating to the rest of the place!

I visited Dr. Bristow only one time but the reason I didn't return was because of insurance reasons not becuase of the doctor herself. (My insurance changed and she was no longer on the list)
Dr. Bristow shares her office with at least one other doctor (maybe more). It is a busy office and wait times were somewhat long. Dr. Bristow did a thorough job of examining my eyes and prescribing a new set of glasses.
One thing tht I didn't especially like is that she charged an extra fee (I think it was $20 or $25) if you wear contact lenses, which I do. They called it a "contact lens fitting fee" but I didn't need a "fitting" since I've worn the same contacts for many many years now.
