I first ate at this diner midmorning after getting off of an all-night greyhound bus from New York City. It was like I had arrived in some kind of paradise where the food was good, inexpensive and plentiful, and all the people were all friendly. I was seriously in culture shock! The place was quite busy, but we were seated and served right away. My girlfriend and I giggled with glee over the fact that we could stuff ourselves on pancakes, sausage, eggs, biscuits, grits and the whole works for a mere pittance. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, but particularly to Northerners who want to experience Southern hospitality and good food. I can't wait to make another trip to Elizabeth City so that I can eat there again!

This is a nice restaurant for a perfect meal in our little town. They have a great menu of seafood, duck, chicken, veal, & lamb. I happen to love the food here because it is so succulent. The atmosphere is set and can be very romantic in the evenings. I know alot of friends that go there on the "date nights" they plan. The customer service here is really great and they set the mood for everyone. It sets right on the waterfront and has a beautiful view. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a good meal and great attention to detail!

The Dragon Buffet is my families favorite place to eat. They have so many different things its hard to choose. The buffet is full of Chinese food, and also American food. They have a Mongolian grill, where you can pick your own ingredients out, and watch the chef cook them on a round grill. The staff is always friendly. On a Sunday afternoon you can eat all you want for $4.99. Where else can you find that kind of food, at that kind of price. My family eats there often. We like to go there with our friends from church, to relax and have a nice dinner.

I have eaten at Cypress Creek Griil often. I have always been delighted with the food.. the ingredients are fresh and the daily specials are always great. The menu is not your normal run of the mill choices. The crab cakes are some of the best that I've ever eaten... I always make time to go to Cypress Creek when I'm in Elizabeth City.

Groupers Waterfront Restaurant is a nice little place for a quiet dinner. Although I wouldn't recommend it for kids, if you are having a nice nite out with your special someone this is a good place. It has a nice atmosphere, and the prices aren't too bad. The food is pretty good, and since its located on the waterfront, that in itself is a big bonus. My husband and I went there for an adults only night out. It was really nice.

Start forming in line around 4:30PM - Tommy sometimes opens 15 minutes early. Sit at horseshoe shaped bar for "ersters". I just love ordering a doz (no joke, you get 13-15) raw oysters to start, followed by another 1/2 dozen raw oysters, then 1/2 a peck of steamed oysters, then I top off my meal with either steamed shrimp or large, lump craw meat. No need for bread or other things - just Seafood. I also enjoy the crackers and iced tea served at the bar. I live in Smyrna, DE and we make the trip to Elizabeth City during oyster season (2-3 times) just to sample their delicious oysters. Service is great and sometimes, owner Tommy will take your check and payment himself. Super nice guy too!!

Don't let the exterior fool you. The Circle II resturant is worth stopping at. They have a wide variety of food, for every taste. Everyday they have a special of the day. The food is just good old fashion home cooking. The portions are generous, and the staff are very friendly. This is a great spot to stop for a bite to eat. On nights when I don't have time to cook, but really don't want fast food for my family, I order from here. I call in my order and with in minutes they have it ready for us.

I visited The Sandwich Market for the first time last week. It won't be my last. I was absolutely thrilled with my food. The bread was fresh, the veggies were crisp, and the lunch meats sliced then. You get a pickle and a bag of chips with your sandwich, which makes it a great deal. They have a huge list of sandwiches to choose from, you can even pick what type of bread you want. The only downfall is that they are only open limited hours.

omg this place is so cool they have great food and i go here all the time with my best friend&&her brothers and we love their chicken fajita nachos w/out veggies! and even there atmoshere is cool
