I am a 36 year old average corporate worker who has enjoyed the food from Tommy's for the last 30 plus years. My parents and I had made a weekend journey to Elizabeth NJ on weekends, not a far drive for the best lunch/dinner you can get anywhere. They make their own sausage and sametimes evan a hot sausage. Not to mention the Italian hot Dog sandwich is also great. And for all off you who do not eat hot dogs because of what you may hear they are made from No Fear here these are beef hotdogs. There sandwhich is piled high with either hotdog or sausage or evan a combo with both and then oinions,peppers and perfectly fried potatoes on top and placed into fresh pizza bread roll. I hear of adding a second location in N Brunswick NJ the people living there are in for a surprise.
Pros: Quality food, Affordable, Tastey

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants. A warning: much of the staff does not speak English, but if you enjoy Hispanic food and are bilingual or have a bilingual friend, I would definitely reccomend this place! It's a bit loud and often crowded but the food is unbelieveable. The shrimp ceviche is the best I have ever had! It has convienient parking and is very easy to find.

I eat a LOT of chinese food, and rainbow has been my favorite for years. Their chicken and broccoli has so much flavor, and has the cut carrots in it! It's delicious and a great deal. My mom enjoys the chicken wings so much that we go out of our way to stop at this place any time we are near Elizabeth.

Change is good but when things you liked as a kid doesn't change it's real good.Spiritos has been a family place to eat for generations and the food gets better and better. The veal is the best there I love the veal and peppers with a side of their delicious homemade ravioli.Veal Parmesan is also a great dish there too.Forget about the pizza I just sent my son to go get one for a night snack!You can't beat the prices either. You have to try it at least once in your life!!!

We were a party of 13, 10 adults and 3 children ranging from 10 months to 10 years. We visited Sorrento's on Easter Eve. Despite the size of our party, the service was wonderful. Our waiters got all the orders correct. And the food was fabulous.
We had appetizers: (Calamari, Mozzarella, Sausage, clams oregenata). I had the chicken and veal francese which was perfection. I also tried my mothers shrimp francese (also very tasty). My Husband had chicken parm, a staple but still wonderfully done. My brother in law had the lamb chops which he said were superb. My sister in law had salmon which she raved about.
The wait staff was very attentive and patient.
We were a little wary since their write up in the Ledger wasn't very promising, but after a visit I have to believe that the Ledger reviewer was crazy. I really can't say a single bad thing about our experience. The only thing that I could say is that the bathroom doesn't have a changing table.
They even offered us after dinner drinks on the house. Don't miss this place!
Pros: The food, the food, the food.
Cons: A little pricey, about $50 pp

This place is great. It's a cozy little Italian restaurant. It may not look like that much, but the food is amazing. I have been there many times, and I have never had anything there that I did not completely love. The atmosphere is nice, it's not very fancy, but it's comfortable.
