Lords Park in on the east side of Elgin. The have a newly renovated public pool area. Lots for guest of all ages to do. There is also a petting zoo which all kids (and adults) enjoy. There is plenty to do when spending the day at the park. Stop and picnic near the playground, or sit and watch the ducks at the pond.

Elgin Lanes is really close to my home, which makes it easier for me and the kids to visit. The bowling alley is kind of outdated, no bells and whistles (like Cosmic Bowling), but it is fun to just go and bowl a game or two and head back out. They have a small pool table and game area and also offer weekly leagues.

I was doing some work on the abode, and just couldn't find the exact fastener I needed. I hit chain store after chain store. Finally I came across Mifast. They walked me over to a bin of fasteners and I took 5 home with me. I ended up having to return 3 of them b/c the size was wrong, but I knep the extra fro a possible future repair.

Their location has changed a few times in the last couple of years, but it is the same people in the same general area. They have something to offer for everyone and every occasion.

They downsized a couple of years ago, but they still offer good photo developing/reprints and a decent selection of gifts and collectibles. You can tell the difference in quality between Card N' Camera and other local one hour and two day processors.

Best Chinese take-out on east-side of Elgin in my opinion. We've lived in this area for 10+ years, and spent the first few years looking for great Chinese takeout. Then we found the Chinese Wok and have consistently ordered from them since. Great egg rolls!

As far as I'm concerned, you will never find a better car dealer. We have purchased several Jeeps from them and buying a car has never been so good. George Hoffman is an awesome salesman and they don't pressure you to make the purchase. My husband is a thinker and never rushes into anything. George is always patient, informative and a very nice person.
Their Service Department is the BEST! They never fix anything that isn't broken. They are friendly and do a wonderful job. They treat you like you should be treated -- AS A CUSTOMER -- great service and friendly staff.
I HIGHLY recommend Feeny if you are looking to purchase a new car, or if you need service.
