Okay, I'm one of the worst shoppers in the world. I wait to the last minute, and I have no idea what to buy my wife. Fortunately for me and the othr men in Edmonds, there is C'est La Vie. It has a terrific selection of gifts, art, jewlery, furniture and clothes.
I usually wait until the last minute, call C'est La Vie and tell them I'm coming down. They fnd the perfect gift and wrap it. I run in and I'm out in less than five minutes. And, you should see my wife's face when she unwraps it - usually tears because she's so happy. And, she thinks I went shopping for hours. It's our secret. They have the stuff she loves.
But, not just her. We have bought some art and furniture there and I love it in our house.
If you get a chance, go check it out. It's in the same building as Arista Wines (a great, local wine store). Or, I found their web site at www.clvcatalog.com.

We are closer to the Pizza chains than we are to Portofinos and other places deliver but if I ordered a pizza from somewhere else I would be shot by my family! There is only one place to pick up a pizza and that is Portofino! Staff is great, I mean really great and it is a cozy, fun atmosphere. The rest of the menu is great too. Excellent salads and italian. Forget the pizza chains, this is the place to go for pizza.

After years of hopping from dentist to dentist, we've finally found a place to stay. My husband is so thankful for the care since he has some pretty complicated issues but he never feels as though he is a hassle. The staff is professional and kind which makes it so easy to go to our appointments.

North China is a restaurant that my family and I have been going to for years. The fabulous hot and sour soup keeps us coming back time and time again. Small restaurant with pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff - great for family get-togethers or for first dates. Great food!

A fairly new bubble tea cafe in Edmonds, near Ranch 99, Tapioca Express has the best tapioca (bubbles, pearls, boba) I have ever tried. You can choose between the regular large size tapiocas or mini-tapiocas. For some reason, the two sizes taste totally different. The large size tastes about the same as any other bubble tea place. But the mini tapiocas -- yum! Multiple flavors available, including some harder to find ones, like sesame. Mostly meant for carry out.

I agree with Noelle. It is a wonderful little adventure but make sure you wear good shoes and don't have a tight deadline that day. Our four year old was fascinated with the trees, stream and slugs, which was why we were there but it took some time to get to the beach. The hike is serene and quiet but the incline is sharp so be ready to do some work on the way back up. A real gem in the area and good for the mind and body.
