A great place for breakfast, you won't go home hungry. Fabulous tomato soup too.

Chanterelle is a wonderful restaurant. They have very fresh food that is nicely prepared and it is very reasonable. The space is very light with big windows and friendly staff. Simply wonderful.

I like this small restaurant in downtown Edmonds. The wait service is friendly and fast. I never had to wait much during the week, however, have heard that there's a minimum wait time of 10 minutes in the weekend. My favorite is the seafood salad which the shrimp, squid is cook and pour over a dish of fresh salad. A good selection of bakery and dessert.

We go here frequently. It's sometimes difficult to get in on a Saturday or Sunday, by Edmonds standards anyway (15-20 minute wait is the longest we've had). But it's well worth it. The staff is efficient and very friendly. The food is excellent. I particularly like their regular "American breakfast" (2 eggs, ham, bacon, or sausage, potatoes), the breakfast burrito is wonderful, and they have amazing raisin French toast. Good espresso drinks, too. I love the atmosphere, it's lively but not annoyingly so. If I had to pick one thing that they could improve on, it's that they don't have specials or seasonal menus. Prices are very much middle of the road.
It turns more upscale for dinner, but it's still a good value. Their tomato bisque soup is to die for (and can be bought in a jar for home).
