Harvey's has been around forever,with no pretensions.The drinks are stiff,pull-tabs galore...and Shannon is a great bartender who has tons of personality! Karaoke has come back with Steve and Karyn hosting on Wed.nights 8-1pm.They have a pretty decent catalog of music,even a spanish one! Everyone looks like they're having a good time,even if they don't want to sing...Karyn can get you dancing! Bruce,Lelone,John,Bob,Jesse,and Bob are among the regulars who do a good job with a variety of song choices.A fun time! There's a band,"Dirty Old Men" every first Sat.of the month.The food is basic bar food - chicken wings,fish&chips,corn dogs,popcorn and chips.Again, if you don't mind a well worn atmosphere with a long history,mixing it up with long time regulars and a sprinkling of college kids coming through on Wed.nights and weekends...then come on down-the price is right!!

Always love seeing Shannon bartending. Drinks always consistent and she remembers to extend an invitation to the next event going on there. By the way who was the great band this past Saturday night the 21st of Nov? They were awesome. I wouldn't have know if Shannon hadn't said something about the great band coming.

I read the earlier review & decided I needed to stand up for Harvey's. This place is great! It's a piece of history, & not only that but the only way to get a watered down drink in harvey's is to order a scotch & water, lol. This place is consistent. Great bartenders with super individual personalities. We love "Big Red" during the day, what a hoot she is. Our regular bartender just moved on, & we were delighted to see Shanon, back behind the bar, another fave. We get consistent service, and you can't go anywhere in the area and get 3 dollar rum and coke any time of the day, any day of the week. 3 bucks for well drinks, who can beat that? Harvey's does cater to the working man in the after noon. It always seems they are packed with them around 4 or 5 when they all get off, but can you blame them with the price of the drinks? tons of pulltabs, dart boards, and pool tables. How could you go wrong unless you are looking for a 5 star night club? It's just a chill relaxed place with great priced drinks. Don't knock it for what it is. A down to earth local watering hole.

Unless you like your watered down house drink served up with a stereotype or two...don't go here. Both undesirable...house drinks and stereotypes...but, at Harvey's expect both in over-abundance. The second chance I gave this place, we had to hear racist jokes, throwing up in the corner, and really, REALLY BAD karaoke. Not worth it. Spend the money on a six pack at 7-11 and put on your own pick of cd's...the drinks, music and boneheaded views aren't worth the trouble.
