The pancake Haus is an Edmonds institution. It has the best pancake breakfast I have had anywhere, hands down. The bacon pancakes are great- buttermilk pancakes with loads of crumbeled bacon cooked into them. The only downside is the long line.
Pros: Best pancakes anywhere
Cons: the prices went up-bring money

Who cares if it's busy ..that's to be expected. The pancakes are delicious. It isn't an upscale place to dine on Sunday but I feel it was worth it. I like it better than the large chain places that serve pancakes. It's definately better then the Family Pancake House in Lynnwood. When I've been at this place the line was long but it didn't seem to take us too long to be seated. I was with people I could have a good conversation with while waiting.

Don't pay attention to those two completly wrong reviews. In one review the person that wrote it asked why it is always crowded it's always crowded because me and all those people have only recived nothing but world class service and food. Once you eat there you to will also agree that it is world class service and food.

I've heard that this place is pretty popular for weekend breakfasts, and decided to try it recently when I had some out-of-town guests. Had to stand in line for more than 45 minutes to get a table, which was a problem since 2 in my party were elderly and no seating was offered during the wait. They then put us in a dingy, musty smelling, unheated back room and it was another 30 minutes before they even came to see if anyone wanted coffee. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and bland. I sure don't understand the reason for the lines out the door, and won't be going back. I also thought the prices were on the high side for a greasy little hole-in-the-wall like this. One could get a better breakfast at any Denny's (and I am no particular fan of Denny's) for half the price.

I ate here recently, and was disappointed. It looked as though no one had been doing routine maintenance on the interiors since it opened. Used to be a great place to take company on Sunday morning for a leisurely breakfast with lots of non stop coffee and great wait staff.
Nothing quite came up to my expectations this last visit. Seemed to have slipped in all areas, still pretty good food, but I prefer to spend my money on something better than just pretty good.
Lots of parking, shares the lot with a grocery store.

This is a small, cozy, nostalgic pancake haus that has the BEST German pancakes you'll ever find. The locals like to visit over coffee for hours and it's fun to see familiar faces here. Their friendly hostess has even been there for 27 years!!
Their 2nd location, near Northgate, closed a few years ago. We hope this Edmonds landmark stays here for many years to come.
Pros: Great Food
