Many debates have taken place over America's most popular outdoor sport, but bowling takes the cake once you step inside. What other sport can you see an 8-year-old playing right next to an 83-year-old?? Marvel Lanes is a great place to go if you wanna knock a few pins down. It's a little out of the way, but that actually helps with being able to get a lane after leagues are done. Although, the Mayfair is close by, rounding out an excellent combo of rollin' and drinkin' in the same night.

14 pound balls. Waxed lanes. Smelly red shoes. Let’s face it: Bowling is an American institution. I’m a pretty big fan of any sport where I can drink beer and actually have the potential to perform better. Marvelanes is a bowling alley and cocktail lounge that is deep into Meridian township, pretty much out in the middle of nowhere. The upshot of this is you don’t have the 8 year olds having birthday parties, bumper lanes and black light cosmic bowling. This is bowling boiled down to its very essence. I’m a bit surprised they have automatic scoring units and aren’t still using manual pin setters here. Marvelanes is an excellent destination if your intention is to drink and bowl.
