I spent the summer in East Lansing, and when I went back in January, one of my must-visits was Lou and Harry's. They are most famous for the Gyro special ($4.99) and the HUGE drinks, but I have friends who have tried other menu items and say that I should someday break free of the gyro and try them. Among the items recommended to me have been the quesadillas and the "Thanksgiving sandwich" which contains turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. Overall a good choice, though the salad's aren't always enough to content the "less grease" people in the crowd.

In East Lansing, if you’re looking for a great deal in Gyros, look no further than Lou and Harry’s Grill on Grand River. For a very reasonable price (I think like $5-$6) you can get a Gyro with a huge serving of fries and a gigantic drink. I normally have their chicken Gyro, which is spectacular, but they also have lamb, and I believe they also have beef. There is a small patio if you’d like to eat outside in the summer, and a small dining room inside, though I think most of the customers get take out. It’s a great lunch spot.
