I was referred to LPA after a terrible experience I had with the MSU Counseling Center. At first, I wasn't sure whether this would be more of the same. I had never gone to a psychologist before, mostly out of fear and denial of my problems. However, Dr. David Brown at Lansing Psychological Associates helped alleviate any concerns when I first met him. He cares about helping me and has an incredible "bed-side" demeanor. He was able to relate to me very well and help me deal with a lot of the problems I have been facing. When talking to my parents, he honored my request to keep the discussion focused on diagnostic/clinical issues only, not what I told him in confidence. The staff is very friendly and easy to deal with, and they work well with insurance providers - taking care of most of the paperwork. Overall, I would highly recommend LPA to anyone looking for help conquering the problems that prevent them from living a completely full life.
