Its very nice and incredibly elegant for a hotel that mainly services the campus community. The hotel is mainly used for confrences and buisness travelors going through the MSU area. A great place if your looking for quality and refinement but if your just visiting a friend at MSU try another hotel. Also the prices arent cheap.

As you walk into this gorgeous B&B, you'd think the hard-partying Michigan State University students on the other side of the street are going to ruin your stay. But, as soon as you get inside, you wouldn't even know if there was a train running by the place. I have never been to a more comfortable place. Owner Al Bay has done a marvelous job remodeling this old house into a cozy and calming establishment. Whether you're visiting the university or just want a weekend getaway with out leaving town, you definitely need to try the Wild Goose Inn.

This hotel was perfect for our purposes. It is very centrally located right in the middle of MSU and the suites offer a full kitchen in a nice, compact space. We held a "reunion" of sorts and met with lots of old friends. When we over-flowed the space in our two-bedroom suite (living room is not very big) we moved half the party down to the business center which is like a large living room. I was very impressed with the service. It didn't feel like I was checking into a hotel, more like I was coming over to stay at a friend's house. When you enter the lobby, you basically walk into the hotel "office" and sit down at a desk, kind of like you're meeting with a personal banker or leasing an apartment. The bathroom is divided nicely so that someone can take a shower with the door closed and there is still access the the sink and mirror for another guest. I was impressed and think this is a perfect solution for business meetings. Also, as a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe as you must have a room key to get into the elevator area.
Pros: location, facilities, layout of rooms and hotel itself
Cons: furniture built for longevity and not for comfort.

The East Lansing Marriott is only a block away from Michigan State's campus and right at the center of East Lansing. The hotel is convenient to East Lansing's limited selection of restaurants yet large selection of quality bars. Rooms in the hotel are large and feature brand new excellent beds, and some rooms even have balconies which are very large. The hotel has great service, and a lot of things inside, such as a great salon & spa as well as pool. Avoid the restaurant, Bistro 43 unless if you go for breakfast.
Pros: Location, Guest Rooms & Beds, Amenities
Cons: Restaurant, Price

This is the best hotel I have ever found. The prices are always low. They also have a location in Brentwood, TN. They place them off of back roads and so they are more laid back. They offer a snack room where you can purchase drinks, snacks and condiments. You can either drop money in a slot or pay it when you pay for your room at check-out. They also have free movie rentals there on site. The staff are always very nice. The rooms all come with a full kitchen and appliances. It makes you feel like you are still at home.
