Foods for living has everything you need to stay healthy. From frozen foods and special vegetarian fare to pre-packaged local restuarant food. You will find herbs, homeopathic, and fruits and organic vegetables. The peanut butter, you can actually make yourself into a container from fresh peanuts, none fresher around. There is a large selection of bath and beauty products as well as bulk food herbs and other items to buy what you need. They also have treats like breads and chocolates that are made with better ingredients then what's out there. Definately a plus if you are looking for healthy foods.

As a longtime(26 years) member of ELFCO, I have, overall, loved my Co-op. We used to be one of ELFCOs organic produce growers, too. There were years when there were problems at ELFCO, but for a long time, ELFCO was the only place in town to get high quality, whole foods. In recent years...the animal rights people have seemed to take over in the running of ELFCO and made it less welcoming to us, as meat eaters. BUT...ELFCO is an ever-evolving place....always trying to get better. I suggest you try it out...and see if it fits you!
