The renovations that have been done at the Hilton were much needed and are fabulous! It was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in and the bed was covered with pillows. We had our wedding reception there last year while they were in the process of renovating and were very pleased. Our guests really enjoyed their stay.

I travel quite frequently and this property was the cleanest and most customer service oriented I have experienced. I enjoyed an evening reception that, quite frankly, should be referred to as dinner. The full breakfast offered a variety of HOT and cold items and even though I stayed there for over a week, I never got bored. The best part, it was all included in the rate. The front desk staff recognized me by name and offered help when I needed it. I highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay at a clean and friendly hotel. The price paid was well worth it!!!!

This hotel is pretty nice - it's basically your run of the mill Marriott hotel. If you are attending something at the civic center, the location can't be beat. However, the restaurants in the hotel are average, and downtown Durham is a pretty dead place. Also, you need a car if you want to get anywhere, so that might be a drawback for some people.
