I had a appointment schedule for 11am, I got there at 1050 and still was not seen until 1135am and then once I was seen I had to sit in the room and wait till 1145... whats the purpose of having a appointment if your going to be treated as a walk in. BUT if you are 5-10 late you have to pay either a $40 fee, and your appointment is canceled.. FOR WHAT when they have you waiting for 30 minutes anyways

I've been going for 6 years and have been unhappy almost every time. First Dr left me in the room in the paper gown for over 30 minutes. I had to get dressed to go find someone to remind them that I was still in the room. Then this Dr asked if my husband hit me (for no apparent reason....no bruises etc). Next Dr I actually liked the most however when she walked into the room she asked "How are the kids?" I don't have any. Hmmmm. Finally, the third Dr was actually rude, patronizing and dismissive when I went in for a "problem appointment." I had to ask for a blood test and she didn't recommend anything to me or assess me in any way what so ever. When I went to get my blood drawn, a LabCorp technician was rude and insensitive when I informed her that I have awful anxiety around needles. She actually said "I don't know what to tell you." Then, when she was done she made a snide remark about how nervous I made her. In retrospect I would never recommend this place to anyone. The front desk people are actually quite rude as well. I only continued going out of convenience as I have few to no health problems and only require a standard annual exam. The one good thing is that the facilities are actually quite nice.

I have been a patient at the Durham women's clinic for about 10 years now. Normally they're never on time and I have to wait. Yesterday I was 13 mins late,my appointment was rescheduled for the next day. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the next morning due to a work conflict.
They had the audacity to tell me I would be charge 40 bucks , because it was not a 24 hour notice.

Dr. Frenduto is friendly and smart and was very helpful to me while I was recovering from my c-section. He's very personable and happy to meet the people in your life who may accompany you to your appointments and genuinely seems to care about the patients' health. It's more than a task, you are a person with him.

I had my first 2 kids at the Durham Women's Clinic. I have always used the midwives there although you do see the doctors too in your prenatal visits. I believe they have significantly cut down on the midwifery services though. Both pregnancies/births had some kind of complication and the doctors and midwives were all very great. My kids are healthy and perfect! The staff is very personable. Their onsite phlebotemist/med tech. is the best. If you are afraid of needles, she is the one to go to. I never feel like anything is happening to me when she draws blood. You can tell the doctors genuinely care...they seem like uncles and aunts to me. My 2 complaints are 1. sometimes I have to wait a long time to be seen as they are busy and 2. sometimes some of the nurses seem grumpy (they're usually very nice) but they are more human to me that way. When we move back to Durham, they will definitely be my OB/GYN again. I would recommend them highly.
