Choices are limited in Durand but we've never had a bad meal at Nick's. We had a great experience on 12/6...the waitress knew our two kids were hungry and restless and actually brought out their food as soon as it was done without waiting for the rest of the order. Very much appreciated and what you like to see in a small town! If we are going to eat close to home, this is normally our top choice.

I started going to Nick's when I moved out to Durand. It is a nice family run restaurant. I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal at Nick's. It is obvious that Nick takes pride in his restaurant because you will see him there more often than not.

The experience I had at Nick's was decent. The service was good, and they were very accommodating. Our server was very helpful with all of the kids. I ordered the roast beef dinner, which was okay at best. I think the only seasoning they have is salt. This was the saltiest gravy I have ever eaten. The bread is good though, and I know they have good fish and chips. I might recommend them.

I enjoy the buffet at Nick's Hometown Grill in Durand. They serve the buffet one night a week and the food is very good. You get prime rib delivered to your table, some crusty bread and the choice of all the different foods on the buffet. I usually eat more crab legs than anything but I always save room for the desert bar! Nick's Hometown Grill is a great place to eat!
