You would think that someone with this many years of experience would have a better understanding of tax law. Dennis' incompetence dragged me through the IRS audit process which lasted over a year and cost me a bundle. His "I'll stand by you" promise quickly vanished when some of the penalties were dropped. I found out later that they would have been his responsibility and when they were waived, Dennis was gone. I took my most recent return to a professional CPA and when he saw the errors that Dennis made, he accurately referred to him as a "kitchen table tax preparer." Take my advice- pay a little extra and have it done right. The few extra bucks you may save going to this bungling incompetent isn't worth the anguish of enduring the audit and paying for his mistakes.
