I did waited in the waiting room for about 30 minutes and then another 15 minutes to be seen. I just took this as a sign of a very busy office! Dr. Cole suggested the PPx acne treatment for me; she stated the price at (what I thought at the time) $395 or $19.95 a session because this particular treatment is not covered by insurance. I thought about what she suggested but then asked if there is another option that is covered? She then suggested the ClearLight treatment that I began the next week. Upon my return for the treatment session I did not see Dr. Cole, I would no longer see Dr. Cole, little did I know. Her assistant saw me for the remaining five sessions. In short, the ClearLight treatment didn't work for so I asked to began the PPx acne treatment. The assistant stated that she would make some notations on my chart and give me a call. I NEVER did receive that phone call. So I called?an "assistant" stated that I had to make an appointment for "another" consultation?ok cool?no big deal. I finally seen Dr. Cole?and by the way the PPx acne treatment is three hundred and ninety-five dollars a session or nineteen ninety-five for 6 months?that is nineteen hundred and ninety-five dollars but Dr. Cole says "nineteen ninety-five"?no big deal for "her". So when she realized that we had a BIG misunderstanding she then became very short with me and said, ?so what are you going to do?? She suggested another treatment but not once did explain what the treatment was, so I began to probe her and she began to treat me like I was stupid and as if I was wasting her time. My visit with Dr. Cole ended shortly after that?and by the way when she suggested the last treatment which was some acne pills that I would have to take EVERYDAY and come in for a shot every month?I told her I would think about it after my total discuss with her attitude?she just simply walked out of the room?NO ?have a nice day? or anything. Please stay away if you don?t want to be stepped on.
Pros: N/A
Cons: Rich and Famous only or she doesn't want to talk to you

I went to Dr. Cole for a consultation for acne treatment, and she was extremely short. She seemed to be in a hurry and could not be bothered to listen to my medical history. Then when I told her that I had a special occasion approximately 6 weeks away, she became very rude. Despite the fact that I never said I wanted treatment for my special occasion, she said that I had waited until the eleventh hour, and there was nothing that she could do for me. She said that there were several possible negative outcomes from different treatment options, but she never took the time to explain what those treatment options were or to go into details on the negative outcomes. I could barely believe her "bedside manner," so I tried to ask some questions. Then I realized that not only was she short-sighted and only looking at trying to clear up my skin for the special occasion, but she had no interest in actually helping me as one of her patients. She basically told me that there was nothing she could do for me EVER. She never even examined my skin like most dermatologists. I could not believe that she wasted my time and money and would not provide me the medical treatment that I was entitled. This doctor is awful, and I would not recommend her at all.
In addition to horrible treatment, I drove 36 miles one-way to see this doctor, and I waited at least 20 minutes in the waiting room and another 15 minutes in the back room for the doctor. Everything about this experience was unacceptable.
Cons: Location, Doctor, Room had not been cleaned

I recently went to Dermatology Specialist of North Atlanta. My primary purpose was to get Retin-A and to have a few suspicious moles checked. After a quick conversation with Dr. Kendra Cole, she suggested an expensive procedure to even out skin discoloration and sun damage. I did not want to go that far so she then suggested the Obagi System for skin care. I bought into that and some $300+ dollars later (travel set) I went home. Two days later I felt that I had made an impulse purchase and decided to return the merchandise (unopened). No one had advised that I could not return unopened / unused merchandise. I did not see any sign regarding "no merchandise returns". They would not credit my account but did offer a credit for future treatment. I declined as I would not feel comfortable going back for any treatment.
The attitude of the staff upon my attempted return was very cold and unprofessional. Beware of doing business with Dermatology Specialist of North Atlanta!
Cons: Doctor did not seem interested in my concerns

I recently saw Dr. Cole and I found her to be knowledgeable and interested in my condition. Her office staff were friendly and effiecient and took me back within minutes of completing my paperwork. The doctor was in shortly thereafter and took a straight forward approach and quickly diagnosed my condition. Without wasting my time, she gave me several options and sent me across the hall to her Aesthatician, who was great by the way. I would have to rate this a 10 out of 10. I wish all doctors could get you in an out so fast and still give the great treatment I received.
Pros: awesome service, nice office.

I went to see Dr. Cole for acne treatment and upon making an appointment and going to the office, I saw an assistant rather than the doctor herself. This is after being told I had an appointment with the doctor. The assistant told me that she had 'seen worse' and then tried to peddle off some of their own acne medication to me. I told her that I would rather see the doctor first. I then had to make a separate appointment for that, which was three weeks later. At the next appointment, I waited for about thirty minutes in the waiting room, and an additional fifteen in the exam room. When Dr. Cole came in, she was literally in the room all of two minutes and she didn't even bother to look at the acne on my back or examine any of the cysts on my face which were quite large and painful. I had questions and she only answered one as she walked out the door. Even worse are the receptionists at the front desk. They act like you're bothering them by being there! I am now going to another dermatologist in Snellville who is light years better and my acne has healed considerably. The perception I have from Dr. Cole's office is that they consistently try to push expensive treatments onto their patients and are very annoyed by minor skin treatments or less expensive options. If you have a lot of money to spend and want to get treated like a number, then by all means go to Dermatology Specialists of North Atlanta.
Pros: None
Cons: Not helpful, rude receptionists, expensive treatments, not catering to patient's needs.

I chose to go to this office because their website was really nice and they have advertising everywhere..well they obviously have more business then they can handle! I drove about 45 minutes to get to their office from Midtown thinking that it would be worth my time and then had to wait OVER AN HOUR at the office, 20 minutes of that sitting half undressed in the exam room. Dr. Cole was friendly although she seemed to get a little frustrated when I started asking questions, I guess because she was behind on her other appointments and she didn't have the time to really discuss my concerns. She also seemed a little put off when I said that I didn't want to spend $1,000 per treatment for a lazer procedure to help my acne. She said that I was "not ready to seriously address the problem" and hurridly gave me a prescription for a topical cream. I did find out that most insurance companies cover facials and peels but I won't return to her office for the work because I don't have the time to drive and wait and then get unpersonalized service.
Pros: A lot of cosmetic procedures available
Cons: Long wait, unpersonalized service
