My husband and I love Dali's. We have taken friends and family there and absolutely love their "funky fritatas" and french toast made with cinnamon bread, covered with sauted apple slices and nuts. The restaurant has got an Dali inspired artsy decor and even some sidewalk tables if you enjoy eating outside. We've had excellent and even exceptional service in our experiences of dining there.

My husband and I stumbled across Dali's Cafe in downtown Downers Grove, and are we ever happy because we did! This cafe is a cross between a pancake house and an upscale bistro; you can find eggs and bacon listed next to a brie and apple omlette. Prices are reasonable, and portions are huge. It gets crowded on the weekends, but the food and funky decor are both worth the trip! Parking is an issue though, as it's mostly only available along the street.

I have to say, every time I've been in Dali's the food is great but the service leaves much to be desired. You wait forever for someone to take your order and then wait forever for your food to show up. A couple of times we have felt that we've been forgotten - not saying much when you order a couple of bowls of soup and a hot dog.

At it's heart Dali's Cafe is a pancake house. As such, the prices and portions are what you would expect: a great value and huge platefulls. The twist is their combinations. Yes they have omelets, but they give brie and apples. Yes they've got waffles, but gourmet ingredients. The quality of food is probably better than most pancake houses in the area, but the prices are still in line. Stop by for brunch!

My husband and I were looking for a breakfast spot in downtown Downers Grove and stumbled across this gem of a pancake house. Although from the outside, it looks like your run-of-the-mill overpriced "fusion" café with small portions and big prices, inside is just a treat. The decorating lives up to the restaurant's name, but there's nothing surreal about the food! They've got an impressive selection of breakfast and lunch options, ranging from mouthwatering stuffed French toast to heart-friendly salad options. I suggest the omlette with brie, apple, and chicken sausage. Portions are huge, and prices are reasonable. Service was great, but don't expect more than your average local pancake house. We're happy we found this place, and it's definitely going into our list of reliable local cafés.
