When this Walgreens, they had the best customer service and merchandise available. Now they are down to one cashier unless line is long. During that first week, no waiting in line. I don't find their selection to be as vast as CVS, however I would rather go there than Rite Aid.

So glad we picked this place for Valentine's Day 2009! I researched for 2 days to find a hidden gem and I will recommend Vince's again and again. I called the place to make a reservation and a man with an Italian accent answered the phone (Bonus!). He was really nice and asked where I was coming from so I could avoid the construction on surrounding freeways. It was snowy and this place was cozy and pretty homey. Nice bottle of Bolla wine, salads and fantastic bread! Hubby had the Cannelloni which was the best I have ever had, hands down and I had the Veal Parmesana and the veal was perfect. Super nice waitress offering great suggestions, she asked if we liked green vegetables, which we do, and she brought us this very garlicky, green veggie heaven on a plate. What a great night and we didn't spend a lot of money!!!
Pros: Great Food and Service.
Cons: none

I have been going to Vince's bakery since I was a little girl and they have the best pizza, and italian subs around. The Canolies are very good also. It's very great because they make everything at the store and nothing is old.
Pros: Homemade, pizza, subs, and pastries

Vicente's Cuban Cuisine is one of the gems of the recent Downtown Detroit revival. It's snuggled on Library Street, across the street of the Skillman Branch of the public library by the old Hudsons' Building. Parking isn't too bad - you can park in the lot next door, on Broadway and walk a block, or in the Opera House Parking Garage (which is a block away).
The decor inside of Vicente's is simple but perfect - not too overdone, like many ethnic restaurants, but not too simple, like many modern upscale restaurants. The waitstaff is very friendly and the manager can usually be seen running around, greeting patrons, and opening the door for customers. There is a coatroom by the front door for the winter months.
The food is simply amazing. I prefer the Ropa Vieja or the trout dish, whose name I cannot remember. The drinks (specifically the Mojitos) are to die for. I simply cannot explain it - it's delicious.
You simply cannot enjoy fine dining in Metro Detroit until you've been to Vicente's Cuban Cuisine downtown.
