Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and always a wild crowd. There are definately fancier places in Detroit, but none can meet the atmosphere of the Post Bar. One good story was a took a buddy from Mexico there, and when we walked in he was scared. He was in downtown Detroit and in a bar that is covered in graffiti from the patrons. With the music, staff, and atmosphere he had a great time. The staff made him have a great time.

A very well stocked store dealing in both vintage and new clothing with an emphasis on club-worthy apparel, as seen on the best dressed local rock stars and city club regulars. The store also carries biker jackets, really high quality silver jewelry, what I'd consider exotic dancer costumes, boots, and some converse, the older ones before they were bought out (yep, he's got the GOOD ones!) among the other wares. If you're making a trip downtown specifically to go to Showtime, I'd recommend phoning first to make sure they're open, or for Wayne State students just take a walk over (discounts with your 1cards!)

Evie's is the best Mexican I've ever tasted, from here to Texas. The tamales are too die for with the different varieties, you can get sweet tamales (raisin and pineapple), spicy, bean and cheese, beef and bean and so on. They've come along way considering they first began their business in the basement and opened a resturaunt and have been open for about 20 years.
Not to mention the workers are pretty much all family (related).
Pros: Family atmosphere, pleasant, quick service and fantastic food.
Cons: small and should be open later. Alcohol would bring in more business.

This is a great place for a special dinner. The view is beautiful and the decor is very pleasant. The food is awesome but watch out it is on the expensive side. The staff were attentive and pleasant. Made for a wonderful birthday dinner. Recommend!

If you like to dance, this is the place to be, the dance floor is always hopping! The staff is friendly and the DJ is always buying shots. The sound system is out of this world! This is my favorite place to go.
