This is really the closest thing to a pub in the Detroit area. The atmosphere is laid-back and generally mello. Occasional shows by generally wicked local artists draw larger crowds on some weekends. Insane amount of beers and an excellent selection of whiskeys, plus cheese and meat... mmmmm. (Cheese + Meat + Beer = Good!) "Highly" Recommended indeed ;)
Pros: Second home
Cons: If too many people find out about it, us regulars will be overrun

XOCHIMILCO is my all time favorite mexican restaurant. I can barely say the name but that doesn't matter...The food is awesome (their wet burrito is my favorite), resonable in price, and the service is quick. I also am a big fan of their tastey margaritas.

This is a brand new oslo, with new owners keep in mind. The restaurant is spotless and the staff was top notch. We had a spicy tuna roll, a yellowbelly roll a dynamite roll and a tempura shrimp with salmon (the last 2 were so big we had to cut them in half) and 4 pieces of nigiri. The tuna nigiri was the best I have ever had, top quality. The dynamite and tempura rolls were so big they were actually like getting 4 rolls. The sauces were fantastic. The prices were amazing, if you consider the size it was like 6 rolls and 4 pieces of nigiri and the wine was resonably priced as well. Dinner and drinks for 2 for 60$, not bad at all especiaaly considering we ordered premium items. The staff was so kind. The sushi chef actually came from behind his station to check each table and make sure everything was to their liking. You have a new regular in me.
Pros: Fantastic food, impecccable service, resonable prices. The staff actually cares
Cons: Not a thing.

THE RESTAURANT IS AWSOME, WONDERFUL TO LOOK AT,GREAT FOR A DATE!! THE FOOD; GREAT( CATFISH, ALFREDO) CHICKEN A LIL SMALL. THE WAITER (DRE) GREAT...AWSOME! ASK FOR HIM, (HEZ THE TALL, DARK SKIN, BALD HEAD GUY) SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT PROFESSIONAL, AND FUNNY. NOW IF HE CAN ONLY PASS THAT TO THE REST OF THE STAFF. BUT OVERALL, WE ( THE WIFE & I) HAD A GREAT TIME. DRINKS A LIL OVER PRICED, BUT VERY VERY WORTH IT...BARTENDER GREAT JOB! WHEN YOU GO, ASK FOR DRE AS YOUR SERVER AND THE LIL SHORT LIGHT-SKIN GUY AS YOUR BARTENDER, AND YOUR SURE TO HAVE A BLAST!
Pros: SERVICE FOOD & DRINKS
Cons: LIL LONG TO COME OUT, BUT WORTH IT WHEN IT DID.

Woodward Coney Restaurant is a fairly good place to visit. Most the items on the menu are under $5.00. They serve many different kinds of foods and the desserts are friendly. The management and staff are friendly. One can dine in, carry out or drive through. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Someone told me that this restaurant had good food at reasonable prices. I walked in, and the huge cloud of cigarette smoke almost knocked me down. I went all the was to the back of the "non-smoking" section and was just barely able to breathe. Even though I was as far away as possible from the grill area, I could hear the cooks yelling continuously in some really angry sounding language. The server spoke with such a heavy accent that I just pointed to the menu to order my meal. The food was good, and the prices were reasonable, however the smoke and the yelling were so unpleasant that I won't go back.
Pros: good food, reasonable prices
Cons: yelling cooks, clouds of cigarette smoke, servers don't speak English

This is a gay bar. Many of the patrons are regulars. At night during the weekend the places is pretty crowded, mostly guys. You can't see the entrance from Woodward and it's very easy to miss the building. Most people know about this place via word of mouth. Happy hour is until 7 or 8 and drinks are super cheap. Like $3 for a rum & coke. And their food is good though sometimes I question their cleaniness standards. Regardless, I visit this place regularly and recommend it.
