I have been going to El Zocalo for nearly 25 years! Yikes! In all that time, it has been an excellent dining experience. Whether I eat in or carry out, the food is excellent: the botanas, quesadillas, and the fajitas and exceptional. Everything on the menu is wonderful, however. And the food is always consistent. The salsa and chips are worth the drive.
There is never a line, never a crowd. Alway friendly service and usually good, too. Unusual for an eatery over decades. And, it is inexpensive. With no alcohol, $20 for two. Even with a couple of drinks $30. Cannot beat that.
I would highly recommend this as the best Mexican restaurant in Detroit; and one of the best overall restaurants.
Pros: Excellent food, plentiful parking, no crowds
Cons: No order ahead for carry out

Showtime Clothing in Detroit represents the apex of rock and roll culture and fashion. Dan, the owner, has made an artform out of dressing musicians and entertainers for nearly 20 years. His passion for dressing you to the nines is apparent, as he is not afraid to take a much time as required to help you find the perfect pair of leather boots to match your rocker denim, or the perfect bustier to really make your outfit really pop! His stock is an amalgamation of all things music-- including a beautiful collection of guitars. I highly recommend this place as one of the most unique and satisfying shopping experiences you will ever have. Detroit is lucky to have a treasure trove like Showtime!

Having grown up less than an hour from Chicago's Greektown, my personal bias didn't leave me expecting much when I stepped into this place across from a casino in Detroit. I was pleasantly shocked at some of the most delicious food I've ever eaten, and his gem with its slight Cyprean bias on longtime cultural favorites will leave you delighted. The service and friendly atmosphere will only reinforce that welcome feeling. This is the spot I bring all my out-of-town visitors, as well as the place my friends and I usually choose on birthdays, special occasions, or any excuse we can invent to head on over. I agree with the reviewer; don't miss the succulent special house lamb dish.
Pros: Marvelous food, pleasant people, convenient location
Cons: Restaurant size, restroom size

NO THE BUZZ BAR HAS NOT RE-OPENED, THE ORIGINAL OWNERS AND INVESTORS HAVE ZERO TO DO WITH THIS ESTABLISHMENT. THE BUZZ BAR IS DEAD AND GONE. SO UNLESS YOU READ ABOUT IT IN THE NEWS PAPER, METRO TIMES ETC. BECAUSE THATS WHERE THE AWARD WINNING BUZZ BAR STAYED, IN THE POSITIVE PRESS.
IT IS OWNED BY NEW PEOPLE AND NOT THE SAME AS THE BUZZ, ITS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT PLACE, AND THEY SHOULD REMOVE THIS MISLEADING AD BECAUSE IM SICK AND TIRED OF GETTING CALLS ABOUT IT
Pros: GREAT WHEN IT WAS OPEN
Cons: IT IS PERMANENTLY REMOVED FROM 546 LARNED

While visiting our friends in Dearborn, they introduced us to Las Brisas. It's some of the best Mexican food we've ever had. The flaming cheeses is amazing! The service is great and friendly and the atmosphere is very comfortable and home-like. Full bar - great drinks too. They also have a security guard on duty in parking lot. We love this place and will be back!

If you live in Michigan than you have probably went on a field trip here. I always enjoyed going to the Museum because I would learn so much about
our area. My favorite place to see was the little city recreated to the early
1900's. They have cobblestone streets and the candle lit posts. Just so adorable and at that age when I went I was totally in love with the book "Little
Women" so this was like my dream come true.

To anyone ,who is going to dine out ,there is a place in Detroit I would highly recommend for them to try the "La Musique" restaurant ,in the St. Regis Hotel. My sisters and I stop by there this past weekend --We were greeted in a kindly manner and the Food we order was exquisted,(we order a Seafood platter ,then Desserts ,that the chef prepare just right for us)even his presentations were ELEGANT-complements to you CHEF Mike -The Manager of the restaurant Craig ,keep checking to make sure everything was just as we order, and it was. His service was so kind ,so pleasant , our waiter Mike, also was hospitalable. This restaurant caters to a mature crowd , as I found out that this was Fashion Week here in Detroit and The St. Regis Hotel hosted this event .To sum it up ,EXCELLENT,there even was a live band that was playing Smooth Jazz -Yes ,Welcome back St. Regis,.and to the staff of the restaurant- My sisters and I will return again and tell others-----KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK-----MRS.GPM

Do not hesitate to take friends, family or out of town guests to BC. This is a quality location, with excellent food (I enjoyed the Dingle Pie, next time Shepherds' Pie!), attentive staff (server was right on in choosing our beers), and a cheerful, attentive crowd for the great Irish Music. If you prefer to talk, you can move back to the bar area for drinks, coffee and dessert. (Bread pudding was the lightest I have ever had!) I had only read about this spot in the newspaper, and it was much more refined and much smaller than I imagined. Both were bonuses! Overall, a great experience.
Pros: Atmosphere is terrific
