Thought I'd found an inexpensive place near Detroit. First night was OK, but I was a bit put off by all the activity around one room in the corner. Next night a friend stopped by and got propositioned on his way in, along with seeing a deal going down.
It was too late to move, but the noise and activity kept me up all night.
The folks running are honest Indians though. We forgot a monitor on the desk in our rush to get out. They kept it safe for us.
Pros: cheap, sort of
Cons: Illegal substances and Girls

A friend of mine returned from a flight using Air Tran airlines and said there is a rewards promotion going on with Wendy's fast food. I eat at Wendy's a lot,so hopefully my drinks can earn me points to a free airline ticket! She said the plane is a little cramped when you fly coach and make sure you eat before you fly as they don't serve meals, but hey...maybe you can stop by a Wendy's before going to the airport! This AAA Four Diamond hotel is located in the heart of Greektown, Detroit's most festive and fabulous mini-city, with fine restaurants, shops, nightclubs and to-die-for bakeries. The hotel also offers catering, meeting rooms, hospitality suites and a grand ballroom for upscale weddings.
This is the best hotel in dowtown Motown.Great suites, and a good value.

Fortunately, Conner Avenue can be easily reached
by taking the expressway (I-94) because you really
don't want to be hanging around in this part of the
city. Years ago it was nice but now it just is not so.
I remember those afternoons when my mom and dad
told my brother and I that we were going to go watch
the airplanes take off and all we heard was a lot of
smootching sounds (ha,ha). I guess mom and dad
were on a cheap date. I have actually used this airport
for smaller travels to Ohio and Chicago. What I like
least is that the planes are much smaller also so
that you have to deal with a whole lot of shaking
going on (LOL)! Not good for the weak at heart and
yes, this is in one of the worst areas in Detroit.

We recently stayed in this hotel for our trip to ATF. Unfortuantly, the hotel stay was no where near enjoyable as the event. This hotel was under MAJOR construction. So much construction that it should have been closed while the rennovation was going on. The construction workers had tools laying in the stairwells and at the top and bottom of them. Some doors wouldn't lock, the jacuzzis wouldn't work, there were missing windows in the walkways, hot and cold water didn't work in some rooms, hairdryers wouldn't work, etc. This had to be the worst hotel experience of my life.
I would recommend staying as far away from this and Days Inn as you could. If I could, I would give this place zero stars, but it appears I need to give it atleast one.
