Tiger Baseball 10/22/2006

And yes it is a multimillion dollar business, maybe even billion. The tigers have been managed by many different people but all of their work has finally paid off. The tigers are in the world series, 1 down but still they made it. Their advertising is bring in billions of dollars not just in ticket sales and ballpark purchases but in party planning and food people are buying to watch the big game, not to mention all of the appeal that we are now buying. It is truly a phenomenon event. more

Bah. 3/27/2006

Everyone loves Comerica Park - except me. I miss the old Tiger Stadium, even though it was old. I don't like all the grandeur (and corporate signature) of the new park. Tiger Stadium had feeling and memories, and Comerica Park has... a lot of shiny, big stuff. When I go to a baseball game, I don't need shiny stuff, or bells and whistles. I just need a hot dog, a group of friends or my family, and a place to sit. Comerica Park is fancy, sure, but since when does fancy equal good baseball? People are talking about how there's so much to do at the stadium and whatnot, but that seems to me like more of an attention-span problem in America than anything else. It's a baseball game! Watch baseball! While I'm not the world's biggest baseball fan (I'd certainly never watch it on TV), there's something to be said about a day in the sun with a ballpark frank, friends, family, and two teams playing America's favorite pastime. If you want to go shopping, go to the mall. Or Comerica Park, apparently. more

THEY EVEN HAVE FIREWORKS AFTER CERTAIN GAMES!!!!!!!!! 3/20/2006

I hate to admit that I am not that crazy about baseball but I love to go to Comerica. So I tag along with the real baseball fans like my spouse and friends. The park itself, is so very beautiful and there is so many little shops and places to visit inside (when I pretend to go to the ladys room). I can't state how much I enjoy being there and sometimes, I even, watch a little of the game. There is the neatest ferris wheel and the entrance is adorned with tiger statues. I never tire of beholding the scenery. more

Comerica Park - Detroit Tigers 9/21/2005

What a beautiful baseball stadium. There is plenty of open vendor areas with any type of food you want, the wonderful decor, lots and lots of bathrooms, and the water-mister is great. Tickets are reasonably priced, but the price of food and drinks is a different story - I paid $8.50 for one beer, but I guess that's what is expected when heading out to the ball park. Great stadium, a must see! more

Beautiful new ballpark! 8/19/2005

Comerica Park is a beautiful new ballpark and a great place to catch a game. Although the old Tiger Stadium was one of the oldest ballparks in the country and there was major turmoil when word broke out of a new park being built, Comerica Park is a suitable replacement. There is something there for everyone to enjoy: a ferris wheel and carousel for the kids, food and drinks for all, and shopping for mom and dad. There is a beautiful view of the Detroit skyline, and a fireworks show on the weekends that should not be missed. And oh yeah, the baseball game is fun too! more

Baseball at it's finest! 8/18/2005

Okay, okay. The Detroit Tigers aren't winning the World Series this year. But they are playing in one of the best baseball parks in the country. Why do you think the Major League Baseball All-Star Game was there in July of 2005? It is, in my mind, the best place to watch a baseball game. All of the family can enjoy some part of Comerica Park. The ferris wheel or the game, fun for the whole family. more

Enjoy a day at the ballpark! 8/16/2005

This is a great stadium to enjoy a Tiger's game! Lots of vendors to buy delicious food and souveniers. They even have a ferris wheel and carousel to ride! Many special events, prizes and giveaways help make an exciting game even more fun! Seats can be purchased for a great price. Just don't forget to bring money for parking...which can be a premium right around the stadium. more
