THE TUSKEGEE AIRMEN NATIONAL MUSEUM IS A GREAT PLACE TO VISIT. THIS MUSEUM SHOWS PHOTOGRAPHS, COSTUMES, AND MEMORABILIA OF HISTORIC TUSKEGEE AIRMEN DURING THE WAR.THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PLACE FOR LEARNING. THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THE PRICES ARE VERY FAIR. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ART MUSEUM TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

My kids love going to the Art Museum to see all the different colors, shapes, and depictions. I love going to the museum because we wander aorund in relative safety and it costs a fraction of other activities we could be doing... The institute is a wonderful place to take the kids!

I'm not really pleased that you have to ride through a bad area of Detroit to get here but its worth the beauty. When everything is in bloom in the prime of the
season the site is so glorious. They keep up the conservatory very well and immaculate. I've had a lot of pictures taken in front of the flowers. Inside is equally as attractive. It's like being in a totally different world. Must take the long
bridge over to Belle Isle. At night the fountains at its entrance illuminate with changing colors, another site to behold.

I would recommend if you've already been to the museum to go down there on Thursday evenings in the fall and check out the Detroit Film Theatre. They usually have an eclectic collection of excellent foreign films at $7.50. The place is mostly empty sans a few stragglers, CCS students, and film geeks. The theatre itself is 1920s era gorgeous.

This was a great experience for our whole family. We spent the day here and enjoyed all the exhibits.
The Imax was too much fun. I would recommend visiting that no matter what is showing at the time.
This would make the perfect family outing, school field trip. Wonderful for homeschoolers.
They have all sorts of activities for many different age ranges. Also a great little gift shop.

THE CHARLES H WRIGHT MUSEUM OF AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY IS AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO LEARN ABOUT AFRICAN AMERICANS. THE EXHIBIT TRACES 400 YEARS OF AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY. FURTHERMORE IT SHOWS AT THE AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURE. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PLACE FOR LEARNING. THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY. AND THE PRICES ARE FAIR. If you live in Michigan than you have probably went on a field trip here. I always enjoyed going to the Museum because I would learn so much about
our area. My favorite place to see was the little city recreated to the early
1900's. They have cobblestone streets and the candle lit posts. Just so adorable and at that age when I went I was totally in love with the book "Little
Women" so this was like my dream come true.

Dumouchelle is great, the staff is wonderful and the people you will find in the stores are great. It truly is a wonderful spot for all and is a landmark in detroit, where else can you find paintings and a great time in the city. Its in a relatively nice part of detroit and is easily accessible from a few different major freeways. I would suggest making the trip out to Dumouchelle's, it will be a treat for all. I'm sure the family would appreciate you making the effort
