If you live in Michigan than you have probably went on a field trip here. I always enjoyed going to the Museum because I would learn so much about
our area. My favorite place to see was the little city recreated to the early
1900's. They have cobblestone streets and the candle lit posts. Just so adorable and at that age when I went I was totally in love with the book "Little
Women" so this was like my dream come true.

The Detroit Historical Museum offers a 4 floor history of the city of Detroit. It shows you that it at one time had more to offer than just being a car making city but also shows you blue prints and specs to many automobiles. Shows the Supremes clothing and stores of way back to exhibit how life used to be. Taking the stroller on the last floor however was a chore but it was an enjoyable experience for all of us!

If you live in the Detroit area you need to visit this place and bring your kids. It is important to know your history and they do a very good job of presenting it here. The exhibits do not change terribly often, but what they have is very good. The automobile plays a big part in their story as does the rise of industry in Detroit. The museum has gone through recent budget cuts and they need our support. It is well worth the price of admission and you might find that you will gain a real sense of pride about our past.

IT OFFERS A GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE ABOUT THE CITY OF DETROIT. THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THE PRICES ARE REASONABLE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MUSEUM TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

Detroit, you great wonderful historical motor city you. There is so much history of this fine city that has been so eroded and tarnished by so many different factors that it is sad to see the current state of Motown. From music to revolutionizing transportation, Detroit offers it all. The only way for me to fully relive what i love so much is the Detroit historical museum. You must check it out if you are at all interested in detroit
