For anyone with a little Detroit pride, this is a great place to shop. You'll find mens and womens tees and sweatshirts, as well as unique books and other Detroit products. They also carry some Pewabic Pottery items, which are very unique and also very cool (great gift ideas!).
The prices are a little high, but the goods you are getting are unique, so it's worth it.
The staff is pretty relaxed and won't be overly pushy. The selection can be somewhat limited, but what they have is cool, so you'll be sure to find something for the person you're searching for!

I love this place. You feel right at home the moment you walk in the door. The Owner (Ms. Donna) is the kindess, most earthly person you would want to meet. I go to the shop every other Saturday on the bus and I am on the other side of the City from there, but I can spend a couple of hours there easily. I make candles, soaps, scented lotions and bath saltz. I custom make for anyone. The oils are pure, so you get the actual essence of the scent. I get their business cards everytime I'm there and pass them out to everyone that asks about my scent I have on or a candle that I made. I shop at the Eastern Market first, then the oil shop. LOVE IT--LOVE IT---LOVE IT

What a wonderful place to buy gifts for people that might have everything. They have many beautiful imported greek statues as well as 2004 Olympics related gifts. They have everything from DVDs to music and religious items. I always go there to see the new items they have brought back from Greece. The store is very well kept, and their hours are actually very good-usually open until after 11pm. The parking is not the best, to get to the city-owned parking structure, you need to walk a little, but it is worth it. OPA!

Rafal's closed in late 2008. Too bad, it was a great place to find spices, teas, coffees, and much of the obscure items not found anywhere else. Plus, it was right in the Eastern Market area where you could do all the shopping for a great dinner.

It is very clean,The staff is warm and friendly workers.You do not have to wait in line long,They always have the sales items in stock. the secuirty do not follow you around like some storeThey have a wide selection of basic things you need. Like buy one get one free. The pharmacy is fast and on time with your prescription..

When this Walgreens, they had the best customer service and merchandise available. Now they are down to one cashier unless line is long. During that first week, no waiting in line. I don't find their selection to be as vast as CVS, however I would rather go there than Rite Aid.

CAROL’S GREETING AND GIFT SHOP IS A NICE PLACE TO VISIT. THIS SHOP HAS VARIOUS GIFTS CARDS WHICH INCLUDE MOTHER’S DAY, BIRTHDAY, GET WELL AND FATHER’S DAY CARDS. IT HAS FLOWERS, BALLOONS, PENS, RIBBONS AND GIFT BAGS. THE PRICES ON THE ITEMS ARE FAIRLY REASONABLE. THE STAFF IS VERY HELPFUL. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GIFT SHOP TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
