Recently my wife and I took her mother out to dinner here. Between the three of us we selected a good array of items from the menu (fish, shanks and steak). Each of us are somewhat picky when it comes to food. Atlas Global did not disappoint. We all loved it. I'd agree with another reviewer, this place is on par with best moderately priced restaurants in Chicago and San Francisco. The service was good, but not intrusive. The environment was inviting and not stuffy. Some patrons were dressed up, others were casual. Since we've gone we've told everyone we know about this place. We'll definately be back. Valet parking also made it very easy for someone not familiar with the area.

I've been a semi-regular at the Traffic Jam for about 3 years now and have only had good overall experiences. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed and the wait staff has also been a pleasure. Sometimes the food takes a little while, but I have yet to be dissapointed by the taste. Their menu is unique and big enough to find something you'll like. I'll admit that it's nothing fancy, but the food is good, hearty, sticks to your ribs cookin' that's great after a hard day at work or for a lazy afternoon lunch.
Pros: service, parking, food, ambience
Cons: occasional waiting for food

I've heard they are well known for their burgers, but the cuisine was outstanding. We dined on the patio and had great service. We had 3 different fancy appetizers of lamb, polenta and salmon. The lamb one in particular with its asian influenced flavors was awesome. For entrees, one of my friends had a shrimp/pasta dish but my other friend and I had the chef recommendations of sea bass and scallops respectively. They were both so fresh, sweet and tender we were amazed and the sauces that accompanied our seafood dishes rocked. The french chefs have nothing on this restaurants chef. I guess the menu changes seasonally with some staples always on hand. I'm looking forward to trying the famous burgers but some of the rest of the menu items as well. Very reasonably priced and right around the block from greek town in the new Hilton Garden Inn hotel.

The perfect evening can be found at Opus One. I found out by a friend of mind that Opus One has tickets to all the shows in downtown Detroit. My wife wanted to see Legally Blonde for her birthday. I ordered the tickets from Pete at Opus One he got me fifth row center. When we arrived at Opus One for dinner, Rocky the Maitre’d seated us in a prime booth near the pianist. With the dinner theater package that Opus One offers we could choose four courses, soup, salad, entrée and dessert. In the package we also got a shuttle to the theater and back to the restaurant. Each course was perfect. I had the New England clam chowder, an Opus Romaine salad, Medallions of Beef with Maryland Blue Crab. My wife had the same thing except she opted for the seafood trio. Both entrees were cooked to perfection. When seven thirty came, Rocky escorted us to the shuttle. The driver took us to the Fisher Theater and my wife got her wish. The driver Cameron was there when the show was over and he took us back to Opus One for our dessert and an after dinner drink. My wife was happy and that made me happy. It could not have been more of a perfect evening thanks to Opus One.
Pros: Great Service and Food
Cons: a little noisy

More
This restaurant is the Detroit version of tapas having come before the recent national trend, although Detroit city also has its share of regular tapas joints. It's nice inside as well as outside (being on landscaped Broadway across from the new Opera). They have a bar for having drinks and smoking as well as a separate one with a view of the kitchen with plenty of table seating in between. The food looks and tastes great from meat to vegetarian although be warned that what you get will indeed be a small plateful. Make sure you order the fries which come vertically stood up in a funnel which is always a sign of serious fries. The home-made ketchup is good but make sure you ask for the garlic aioli.

If you haven't yet tried Marios you are really missing out. I went last night they had a cast party for Legally Blonde (fox theatre) & it was perfect....First I enjoyed a fabulous authentic Italian Dinner, complete with antipasto tray, soup AND salad , wonderful inhouse made bread &to follow my entree! There was so much food I had enough to take home for lunch today! Then I took their complementary shuttle to the fox(so much better than paying to park randomly in detroit)&after the show I was picked up promptly and they took me back to Marios! When I arrived I got to meet the entire cast of the theatre&they even had a complimentary buffet awaiting after the show! What a great expierience.I can't wait to return - now that I know they shuttle to all local events -theatre , hockey, baseball&football I will be there regularlly!!!!!

I loved it. i went here last year and loved the experience. living north of detroit a good 40 miles and being 21, walking in there seemed a little sketchy. We walked in and was greeted at the door, and got to sit in this cozy little booth right in front of the band. with the really impressive music, the dark lighting, the cozy booths its a perfect spot for a romantic date. not to mention, the crowd that night seemed very l aid back and polite which made me feel comfortable there.
Pros: romantic, impressive music, very nice vibe
