They have programs for ages and all levels. They really are a great place to get started regardless of your age or ability. The instruction is great and they really know what they are talking about. Their pricing is comparable to other programs around town to. You should definitely check them out if your looking into these programs.

The Detroit Red cross is a great place, very modern. The staff and volunteers are amazing, genuinely nice and I love coming in for any reason to help out. The only negative about the building is there is never parking unless you come really early in the morning, so if you're planning to go, get there before 9 to get a good spot.
Pros: Great environment, great service, great parking
Cons: Terrible parking

Small shop with a very nice selection of yarn. Was very busy for size so it was a little difficult to shop. The owner was very helpful even though she was spread a little thin. Salesperson was new and learning so any delay in assistance was understandable. Very relaxed atmosphere with no sales pressure. Questions were answered with a smile :-) Will return and would like to take a class soon.
A little pricey, but I liked the yarn and bought it anyway.
PROS: nice selection of yarn; very friendly
CONS: small; not open on Sunday (but you have to respect that)

In the early 60's when I was entering kindegarten my first school was Hutchinson. This is a huge 3 story brick building that even has an old basement where we would go to watch special programs. They have the coolest greenhouse that extends outside to the large playgrounds and inside
they also have a lovely auditorium where school plays and the band took
star place. I remember frequently looking out the windows at the tips of the
trees when I was at my 3rd floor classes. I would look and imagine for hours.

AS A PARENT I HAVE MY OWN JOB TO DO PLUS COME THERE TO TRY AND STOP FIGHTS AFTER FIGHTS. I RATE IS SCHOOL ZERO. POLICE AND SECURITY IS NEVER AROUND AND I HAVE SEEN WITH MY OWN TWO EYES WHEN THEY ARE AROUND THEY TURN THERE HEADS LIKE NONTHING IS GOING ON. KIDS IS ALWAYS IN THE SCHOOL THAT SHOULDN'T BE THERE AT ALL BECAUSE THEY IS EITHER OUT OF SCHOOL OR JUST DON'T GO THERE AT ALL. THIS SCHOOL NEEDS HELP. IT IS LIKE WATCHING TV, A SCHOOL IN SOUTH CENTRAL. THIS SCHOOL NEEDS HELP FROM PARENTS, POLICE, TEACHERS, SECURITY AND THE ADMINISTRATION.
