I am Greek so I know Greek food and any god food for that matter. I have been to other Greek restaurants which have been equally disappointing.
Their food does not taste like Greek food. Whoever says it is authentic they do not know Greek food. My girlfriend and I both have had stomach problems from eating there even the next day.
It is very pricey and bad quality.
The waiters are not polite. The toilets stink very badly. They toilets and smoking toilets!!! so watch out for your kids going in there.
Do not go there.
Pros: I cannot tell
Cons: bad food and service

We recently went to the Pegasus for dinner, and had a really nice sit down dinner. Yes the service was not the fastest, but they were friendly, and the food was so good it made up for everything else! I had the lamb which was yummy. My mother-in-law had the ribs n chicken dinner (I know not greek food) but it was really good.
This is a nice place and one of the few left. I would hate to see it close too.

Pegasus is about ambiance and enjoying a slow, well made meal. I wouldn't plan to go here for a quick bite, but to sit and enjoy your meal with good company in a Greek inspired setting right by the Greektown casino; it isn't easily beat. Great hard crusted bread with dipping oil or flaming Saganaki cheese and a beer at the bar to a full course meal at the dining tables, everything is well presented and delicious. Yuvetsakee (hope I spelled it right) is a rare treat and I highly recommend it, I get it with the Rosa Marina noodles and the stewed lamb, emmm mouthwatering. This isn't the cheapest restaurant in Greektown, but it is one of my favorites.

i recently went here with some of my friends, now mind you, i'm 17 and they're 19. my friend asked our waiter what he recommended from the menu, he, of course, recommended one of the most expensive things on the menu, the shrimp. later when we ordered, my other friend ordered the shrimp while everyone else went with something more affordable, considering the shrimp was $22. when we got our food, we thought it was a joke, he got six medium sized shrimp, and some nasty looking green peas. later, my friend was able to laugh at this, but at the time he was VERY upset, as were we. i personally would recommend the parthonon, which is just across the street, or pizza popolis.
Pros: feel of a high class restaurant
Cons: high price with small portions

The food here is authentic and very good. However, service is less than stellar. We asked our server to wrap up leftovers and instead he threw them away...then didn't offer to correct his mistake.

I'm not a huge fan of Greek food, but I did go to the Pegasus Taverna on one occasion. The food was pretty good and the service was decent. I agree with the previous reviewer that you should order the Saganaki, which is the flaming cheese that everyone yells OPA! to.
If you like Greek food, this is probably a great place to go.

Back in the 70's I would spend a lot of time in Greektown. I love Greek food especially roasted lamb
and green beans (their specialty). I tried ozie (yuck)-
the very strong greek drink which I would soften the
bite with baklava. Baklava is their very very rich dessert. We would get a load of our friends and go
together for a classy night.
