I heard the lady that brought the dog to the Shelter first lied and told the staff that the dog was part of the show. The group's manager performing that night was overheard saying that "lady" was a crazed fan who had been following the band and showing up to shows and offering them illegal medications (wink wink nudge nudge). They had brought the dog up on stage the night before because they thought it was funny.
Is it wrong to bring a dog into a music venue with extremely loud music, intoxicated people, and possible broken glass on the floor? Talk about animal cruelty!
Does everyone feel comfortable around large dogs they do not know? Obviously not by the police reactions to her dog.
Was St. Andrew's denying someone their right to basic human needs? No, this was an entertainment event not a soup kitchen. Was she within her right to come in? Sure, but why subject a dog to that type of environment?
BTW said "lady" was heard yelling she wanted the contact info for her lawyer who she stated was Allen Ginsberg (who died in 1997).

The perfect evening can be found at Opus One. I found out by a friend of mind that Opus One has tickets to all the shows in downtown Detroit. My wife wanted to see Legally Blonde for her birthday. I ordered the tickets from Pete at Opus One he got me fifth row center. When we arrived at Opus One for dinner, Rocky the Maitre’d seated us in a prime booth near the pianist. With the dinner theater package that Opus One offers we could choose four courses, soup, salad, entrée and dessert. In the package we also got a shuttle to the theater and back to the restaurant. Each course was perfect. I had the New England clam chowder, an Opus Romaine salad, Medallions of Beef with Maryland Blue Crab. My wife had the same thing except she opted for the seafood trio. Both entrees were cooked to perfection. When seven thirty came, Rocky escorted us to the shuttle. The driver took us to the Fisher Theater and my wife got her wish. The driver Cameron was there when the show was over and he took us back to Opus One for our dessert and an after dinner drink. My wife was happy and that made me happy. It could not have been more of a perfect evening thanks to Opus One.
Pros: Great Service and Food
Cons: a little noisy

Oh! The pleasure of an afternoon at John King Bookstore! This place is a balm to my literature loving heart, offering both quantity (it is a veritable warehouse of used books) and quality (staff is amazingly knowledgeable and friendly).
There is something so pure in the bibliophilia at King, manifested in its unadorned, ascetic milieu. No café here, no CDs or DVDs or novelty items, just multiple floors of dusty shelves filled with wonders. Pull up a crate in one of the aisles and lose yourself in your selection--no one will bother you for hours; staff and fellow customers understand this kind of passion for the written word. Special requests are always quickly filled by the terrific staff (Need twenty copies of the same edition of The Odyssey for less than fifty dollars? They can do that.) In the upper floors, each aisle has its own light switch for you to turn on as you explore, intensifying the experience of King as your own private text heaven.
