I have been to Bleu twice. First time was horrible, and second time was worse. I got there promptly at the time the doors opened and waited 50 minutes in below freezing temperatures. I went to coat check (and this is when the club just opened for the night). They said it was full and it would cost $20 to find space. The lady at the check in (yeah they just had one lady checking people in) and she forgot our VIP bands.
The club was filled beyond capacity. The club has a 600 person capacity, and they had easily 1000 people in it. Getting a drink? Forget about it, unless you have 20 minutes to spend waiting. Dancing? Nice try no room. The patrons? The club is a 18+ so there are a bunch of minors everywhere and they look like they took one too many pills.
The tickets said open till 4 A.M and the club closed at 2. Then to top off the night the club lost my coat and after trying to get some sort of resolution they said if I continued on they would call the police.
Worst club ever.
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Long line for no reason. packed like sardines. overly expensive compared to other clubs, poor light system, understaffed, small bathrooms with long lines.

Ew. Where to even start with this place.
Only go here if you're really desperate.
I made the mistake of going here with a friend after we didn't find the club our friend invited us to, just on whim instead of just driving back home. I have never went to a club and felt so dirty in my life.
Every two SECONDS that we danced we got flirted with by unattractive people who didn't get the message when we told them to go away, that they were too pushy. We had to physically push some of them away from us because a few started grabbing me and her as hard as they could and not letting go...grabbing our wrists and waists. It was to the point it was basically sexual harassment.
Not to mention, many of these said people could not dance at all, I guess it amazed them that some people can actually dance and *gasp* don't just go to dance clubs to shack up with just anyone.
The music was not terrible, (the only reason I am giving this a star at all), however it blasted so loud you couldn't have a human conversation with someone even if you wanted to, instead of being a mindless sex-driven retard with no dancing skills or fashion sense.
I've been to MANY clubs in my life and NEVER have me and a friend had such a bad experience in one.
Then, at the end a drunk girl FALLS onto the table we are sitting at and starts feeling ME up. She rants about how her friends have left her there because she can't even walk because she's so drunk, and the staff starts bitching AT THE TWO OF US, to get her out of the club FOR them! We didn't even know the girl, and second she's so drunk she's trying to grope me while saying "I'm not usually a lesbian, but...."
Ugh. Just... please don't go to this club unless you're desperate. It's not really a nice setting for dancing with a group of friends or actually being there for the music.
Also, I remember paying 20 bucks to go in this pit. I've went to better clubs that only cost 5 dollars.
Pros: It was blue
Cons: harassment, expensive entry fee for mediocre club experience, cranky staff, drunk women I don't know falling on me, nowhere to talk, music too loud

The staff is rude. You'll die of thirst before you get a drink. I was able to get one drink in and hour and a half. The sound system is horrible and is pushed to its limit. the buzzing in the speakers gave me a headache. My ears were ringing for several hours. If it were an outdoor atmoshpere that type of blasting sound wouldn't be so bad. But loud doesn't mean good. And good doesn't have to be LOUD! I will never go back and I would never recommend that anyone go to the Bleu Room NOT-THAT-GREAT an experience.
Pros: There aren't any
Cons: crowded, rude LAZY staff, blasting sound system

I have to fully agree with the others reviews. The sound system alone is no longer a good enough reason to go to Bleu. I too have waited in line outdoors in the dead of winter even though I had purchased my tickets ahead of time. The staff is rude and behaved as if I was lucky that they where serving me my drink, which by the way was overpriced. The was no space to sit down unless you wanted to pay for VIP. It is sad that we now have to pass on our favorite DJs because they choose to play at Bleu.
Pros: great djs, ok sound
Cons: the rest of the bar

Bleu has by far the best sound system in Detroit!! Whenever one of my fav dj's is in town- they almost always play a bleu and the music is unbelivelable (you have to like techno, trance, house, etc.) I wish the bar was a good as its dj's that come there though. Drinks are way overpriced-not even good for the amount you pay for them, parking is ridiculous but that is how most of Detroit is, and yes- you do have to wait in line whether you buy pre-sale tickets or not. If Bleu worked on pleasing more of the customers that go in there- it would be the best bar in Detroit, but if another bar comes in that can host dj's with a sweet sound system- this place is done.
Pros: The dj's that play there, the sound system, the ppl
Cons: The drinks and service

I paid for VIP tickets to see Above & Beyond. They still made us wait over half an hour in subzero weather. While waiting we were harassed by a homeless man. Once I got in they told me they wouldn't check my coat because it was full. However the girl told me, "I can make an exception if you pay $20." Are you kidding me? I had to carry my coat around all night or when I put it down had to watch it therefore I couldn't really dance. The sound system was not all that. I drove over three hours to see Above & Beyond and this is the way they treat me. I don't think so. If you are into trance do not go here. Go to see them in Chicago at Vision or Glow in DC.
Pros: The DJ's
Cons: Customer Service and Drink Prices

I went to Bad Boy Bill over the weekend and was not pleased that they made people with pre sale tickets wait over a half an hour to get in. What is the point of pre sale? People who waited in line paid cover and got in just the same. Bar service was very slow and the drinks were not good for the price. They also ran out of bottled water. Bad Boy Bill was awesome. I hope he chooses another venue next time.
Pros: they chose a great dj
Cons: everything else

Bleu simply has the best sound system in town. If a DJ if your liking is playing at this club, then I suggest that you go. Otherwise, I steer clear of this place. For the most part, this place is filled with chachis and skanks. I know that seems a bit harsh, but it's true. Everytime I've been there, I've had to pry some disgusting guy off of one of my female friends, even after she told him repeatedly to bug off.
Pros: Best sound system, Club design
Cons: Pricey drinks, Watered down drinks, Icky patrons
