The FOX Theater is located in the heart of downtown Detroit, right across from Comerica Park, on Woodward Ave. We went there on Christmas Eve to see The Radio City Christmas Spectacular and I cannot say enough great things about this place! The history inside is worth the price of admission. The staff is very professional and they look the part as well. If you are looking for something to do, check it out, they run all different kinds of shows, it is definitely worth it!

I like going here just to look around. You never know what you'll find. Or where in the store you'll find it, for that matter. It's rather disorganized, and they don't always have all the stuff advertized in their circulars. I generally end up browsing in there for about an hour and spending about $10 or so. The staff is ok, but the store just seems so disorganized to me.

I recently started shopping at Glory Supermarket. I wasn't sure what to expect the first time I went, as it sits right behind a strip club. But I was really happy with what I found! The place is huge, their prices are fair, and the cashiers are FRIENDLY for once! They also have a rewards program, with a keychain card like the bigger stores do. When you shop you earn points, and you can trade your points in for prizes, like a tv, dvd player, microwave, toaster oven, etc. The place is so nice, it's well lit, well organized, and clean! Their meat department is huge, they have very nice produce, and it's never been crowded once while I've been there. I've never had to wait in line longer than about 5 minutes or so. What a great store!

Last year (2004) my (then) 1 year old son was diagnosed with infected lymph nodes and had to have surgery to have them removed. The only hospital near us that would do the surgery on someone so young was Children's. Our family spent almost 2 full weeks at Children's. Almost everyone at Children's is wonderful. I wasn't terribly impressed with the desk staff in the emergency room, they didn't seem very friendly but they did do their jobs and the medical staff of the ER were great; very friendly and calming. The thing that took the longest in getting us a room was that they didn't know if they should put our son on the infectious disease floor or the surgical floor. Once admitted and in our PRIVATE room (not all rooms are private, however) the doctors, nurses, and other families on our floor were GREAT. Everyone is trained to work with children so they are really kind and soft spoken. Our surgeon, Dr. Michael Klein, was rated as the top doctor for pediatric surgery. The staff host games via the television in the room so the kids aren't bored. There are Disney movies to watch on the T.V. or there's a large library of books and movies for the kids. For the parents there's a medical library with internet access so you can keep in contact with your family and friends. We never felt uncomfortable or unhappy with our experience there. I'd recommend Children's for any parent facing any kind of medical need for their child.

This was a great experience for our whole family. We spent the day here and enjoyed all the exhibits.
The Imax was too much fun. I would recommend visiting that no matter what is showing at the time.
This would make the perfect family outing, school field trip. Wonderful for homeschoolers.
They have all sorts of activities for many different age ranges. Also a great little gift shop.

I would recommend if you've already been to the museum to go down there on Thursday evenings in the fall and check out the Detroit Film Theatre. They usually have an eclectic collection of excellent foreign films at $7.50. The place is mostly empty sans a few stragglers, CCS students, and film geeks. The theatre itself is 1920s era gorgeous.

Cute place, nice waitstaff but it is definitely overrated. Food is slighly pricey and is so so. It is similar to any othe chain restaurant. Restaurant is large and has nice waitstaff and bartenders. Bathrooms were so filthy that I wouldn't even go in them. But they have nice bartenders and great drinks!

This is the best Uniform and Mat rental service to use-It is great to call them if you own a restaurant or a business or just need entrance mats for a party on the grass. The best sales person to contact or ask for is Jerry Chandler. He is very easy to talk to and will help you with your needs. They have kitchen apparel, linens, aprons, towels, etc. You can order anti-fatigue mats or mats with your name on. They also have custom embroidery which I had put on my husbands shirt pockets.

Dr. Fadenelli is an endocronologist, located in St. John Hospital. She is very educated and good at her specialty. She gives a very thorough exam and takes a very thorough history. Parking is ample, since she is located at the hospital, but you do have to pay $2 to park in the back lot. You could choose to valet park, also. They used to give you a voucher to get your parking paid for from the doctor's office but not sure if this is still the case.
