This is a neat mansion to visit to see all of the antiques and art that is on display throughout the house. They have a impressive collection to see. The picture frames on the paintings I thought were just beautiful. My favorite room was the Victorian bedroom and the staircase in the mezzanine. The theater is beautiful. They do have live performances in the theater. Self Guided tours. Schools get in free.

This is a neat mansion to visit to see all of the antiques and art that is on display throughout the house. They have a impressive collection to see. Hoyt Sherman was recently refurbished. They have now included wider seats and air conditioning, things that were missing prior to the remodel. I am always amazed at the beauty and detail in the ornate auditorium. It's a real treat compared to many other auditoriums in Des Moines. They host a variety of events here, from all-employee meetings to weddings and even concerts and speakers.
