I LOVE Nine75~ Thanks to the new ownership for coming in and saving such a fantastic place. Parking is easy, the crowds are hip and fun, and the menu is very creative and delicious! (I recommend the surf and turf sushi roll) It's the perfect place to go after hitting up a downtown happy hour. I must say that last nights trip to Nine75 has made me a big fan. From the clean and stylish ladies rooms, to the throw back music, the decently priced wine selection, and of course our wonderful server...Jay "PIMP". (I told you I'd put you in this write up!) GO TO NINE75...It's fantastic!
Pros: great bathrooms, unique menu items, atmosphere and crowd, great service
Cons: none this time around!

The main draw to this place is the bar scene. especially on summer evenings. its a great place to start with a few beers (tecate $2) or one of the many margaritas. (skip the house marg and pay the few xtra bucks for one of the specialties) and then move into the dining room for dinner.
this is not your typical rice and beans mexican, it requires just a little more sophisticated palate but the food is excellent. just dont go there expecting a burrito. ive tried several dishes and all of them were great.
i live in the neighborhood so im there often and the only thing that bothers me about the place is this one bartender. she is so snotty and opinionated and probably one of the ugliest people to carry such baggage. totally offensive in both her manner and looks. just ignore her.
Pros: drinks and atmosphere
Cons: service could use some work

I first visited this past weekend. I've been hearing more and more about people having great evenings there ? and not just on First Fridays, or shouldering up to the bar to - but for a quality dining experience. I have one friend in particular (from New Mexico) who has been regarding this place as very high quality ? not overly cheesing dishes or skimping on fresh guac or salsa and really seasoning the meats ? among his criteria. And so I went there on Saturday night with a couple friends from out of town. It wasn?t a packed night, so we sat at the bar for a few drinks and received quite the lesson on Tequilas. We were pleased that the bartender was steering us towards value and not just pitching us on high priced flights. It is a personal pet peeve when bartenders seem to know less than the patrons, and Tequila is such an unknown spirit to me, that the learning was almost as enjoyable as the tasting.
Pasole and tortilla soups were outstanding ? though I would?ve liked a little more chicken/pork in the pasole, but I?m an extreme carnivore and maybe others prefer more corn. We also shared the Carne Asada, Rosaleas and enchiladas ? all were terrific. The green chili cheeseburger was ok from a ?unique? perspective, but there are certainly better burgers in town from actual burger joints ? but it certainly wasn?t a waste of money. The sopapilla dessert was great, but if you can't make that, then you shouldn't be a Mexican restaurant. Tip to management ? I looked at your menu online before going and that?s when I was intrigued by the bger, but the picture you have has sliced greenhouse or unripened tomatoes. I think you can get a better picture in there to do the plate more justice.
Overall, if you like Mexican but don?t like the stomach bombs served up at places that are more ?Americanized Mexican? this place offers a refreshing change of menu, atmosphere and of course ? tequila. You?re now officially established in my Denver restaurant rotation.

I am reading reviews on this because I am in the service industry and like to know what really gets people.I like to keep up with my favorite places and I constantly maintain and improve my own service by finding out what works and what doesn't. I look for likes and dislikes and constantly make a point to do all that I can to make people's experiences amazing, You know it's good to give them something to come back to.
I have to say, that it's individuals that blow things out of proportion that make it difficult to get a fair assessment. This place runs the way it does and it is successful and usually pretty busy. If you go to a friends house, are you going to complain about their dining room and the music? Doubtful. I kinda see it as going out to enjoy yourself. They offer what they offer and if you don't like the offerings, maybe you shouldn't be there in the first place. If you are that interested in the specials, grow a set and ASK. yeah it's their job to inform, but it's also your responsibility to say what you want. In my job, I like to get a feel for what people want. Which is why I ask. Some people however come across as so unapproachable that you just want to get their order and leave them be! I personally love the guests who come in and order, but then change it all up so that they in fact are getting nothing remotely close to the initial chef's conception.
Does anyone ever take into account that some things don't come easy? I personally am a loyal patron at a few places and I can say that like every other establishment, they have their bad moments. But take into account that those moments usually occur when it becomes suddenly busy, or a guest is so high maintenance that it can literally detract from a server being attentive to their other guests. Granted, rude is never the way to handle this, but sometimes you just wanna snap when you are treated so crappy by individuals with such high and unrealistic standards who have probably never worked a day in their life in an actual busy restaurant. It is absolutely the server/ bar/ and overall staff's job to maintain professional, consistent, and service worth coming back to. But trust me that there are the rare handfuls of guests that most would never want to have to wait on again. So remember that when you come into a place and get "crappy" service, is it really all the service? Or did you have something to lend? And reeeeeeeally??? Making assumptions about a place and how it "thinks" in order to vent really gets you nowhere....
Pros: Amazing staff, fabulous food, Love it!
Cons: Can be a bit hard to get a table on weekends.

Me and a couple of friends went to Soleil for a casual dinner, and we all agreed that the food was absolutely outstanding! The roasted garlic was out of this world and our cheese plate was phenomenal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is reminiscent of Spain and the decor is tasteful and not imposing at all. The wine recommended by the waiter turned out to be perfect, and he even let me and my friend split a glass after we finished off the bottle. I have recommended this restaurant to EVERYONE I know.
Pros: Atmosphere, food, wine
Cons: pretty small - probably not good for large groups
