For some reason, I always forget about this great place and I don't know why, for I am always very pleased whenever I go there. Just wast of the park, it's clientèle are an eclectic mix of neighborhood folks, yuppies, families and outdoor enthusiasts. There's a small covered area outside for outdoor seating in warmer weather and this is my favorite part in which to park with a friend or two an enjoy one of their fresh salads or their great Italian Penne Pasta and a glass of wine. The inside is warm and inviting with it's brick walls, fireplace and wood tones. The service is always good and their happy hour a great value. They also have pool tables if you can snag one!

Located on Gaylord Street near beautiful Washington Park in central Denver. The cuisine is extremely high quality American food. This includes anything from steak to pasta to seafood. On Thursday nights around 9 pm, the dinner scene slows down and the bar area turns into a very nice place to meet up with friends. They do not mess around with the Manhattan Martinis at $9.00 per drink which make you feel a little guilty for spending the money but very good after drinking it. There are other affordable drink options at this time of the night so don’t be afraid. In fact, sometimes there is a ‘ladies night’ on Thursday nights where all ladies get a free cosmopolitan. In addition to all of this, there is a pool table and outdoor/covered/heated seating.

The Wash Park Grille provides an excellent dining and lounge experience. If you happen to arrive before the dining room opens, you are welcome to enjoy one of their many wines in the lounge area with its variety of seating options or play pool in the back.
Once you do get to the dining room, I highly recommend the wasabi-encrusted ahi tuna. Be prepared to pay well for the experience, however: a full meal with appetizer, entree, drink, and dessert will run around $50-$60.

I love going to Wash Park Grille with my boyfriend. It is a bit loud, but if you are not sitting right out in the middle, you have some privacy. The food is wonderful and the crusty bread and dipping oil is so yummy. They also have free pool to the left of the bar which is great while you are waiting for your table. The bar is small, but you can squeeze in and get a drink even when it is crowded!

The Washington Park Grille is a convenient neighborhood restaurant with a friendly atmosphere, delicious food and good drinks. It's a good place to meet up with friends after work or go for dinner when you don't feel like cooking. The happy hour deals of half price appetizers and cheaper drinks ($2 microbrew beers and glasses of their decent house wine). Try the Washington Park sampler with bruschetta, crab cake, calamari, tomatoes and mozerella cheese or the spinach, brie and artichoke dip. Enjoy the food, sip on wine and catch up with friends and family in this nice neighborhood spot.
