Have made a few trips to the Paramount Cafe and have found it unsatisfactory each time. The sandwiches are typically bland and room temperature. (Regardless of whether you order hot or cold dishes). Sweet potato fries are good, but not worth the trip.
While the waitstaff is generally good, the bartenders are hard to catch and snotty. When inquiring about the margaritas one night, we were told, "I wouldn't know -- *I* don't drink tequila." That, perhaps, should have been the first sign. A drink later (Long Island Iced Tea (bad) and a Margarita (infinitely worse; all sugar and mix, no liquor)), we both felt sick and decided it was time to leave.
Yes, it is inexpensive, but there's a very good reason for that. If you're looking for a happy hour stop, go right next door to the Appaloosa Grill for the same deals and much, much better food and service.
Pros: Nice location, good waitstaff, decent happy hour
Cons: Drinks make you sick, food is lackluster, bartenders bad

I've seen reviews of this restaurant that showed 5 stars and I just don't think it's that good...but it's definitely deserving of a four star rating.
Here's what I like about it:
- Good service. Never had a bad experience here. Expect to wait if they're busy, but that's certainly understandable.
- Fair prices. For 16th street mall, it doesn't get much cheaper.
- Great atmosphere. The patio is awesome if you can get it, but the inside of the place is nice too. Lots going on, lots of different groups hanging out.
- Good food. Some of the dishes are incredibly simple, so it's hard to get too excited, but if you're looking for solid bar food (burgers, fried foods, etc.) this is a great place. They also have a surprisingly awesome desert menu. I had something called a cheesecake burrito once (or something like that). Awesome.
If I had to say anything bad, it would be that this place is nothing more than a casual eatery. If you're looking for a fun yet classy meal, you might want to look elsewhere.

Well firs the pros: Our server was great, she was friendly and knowledgeable, good location to watch the folks on the Mall.
The bad: The food was below average at best. I ordered a bison burger, on the rare side of med-rare. I eat bison quite often, so I was excited to try what I thought would be fresh, local bison. My burger arrived and what taste it did have was not bison, but regular hamburger, but the problem was it was cooked well done!!
The server was apologetic and offered a replacement, and the manager took it off the bill. My wife got the fresh tuna with salad and again it was below average-nothing interesting or flavorful. With so many other restaurants so close by, I would not try it again.
Pros: Great server!!
Cons: The food was below average at best.

My husband loves their burgers. The staff is great and helpful. They even have live local music from time to time.

They had a free pool tournament on one night and the Coors Light girls were there another. This place always has something going on. I even think they have live music on Fridays and Saturdays.
Pros: Comfortable, Nightly Events, Good Food

The appetizers alone are worth going for, and it gets even better when the entree arrives!
