We called during a blizzard, and these guys were open and delivering. We actually opted to walk there, and they had our food fresh made and hot within minutes. Both of us being vegetarians we were thrilled the faux-meat selection. Portions were huge and reasonably priced and the people working there were incredibly friendly. Whoever had a bad experience must have had a really off day or is a snobby gourmet.
Pros: Cheap, large vegetarian selection, friendly service
Cons: Not a fancy atmosphere

After eating at this place, is all i can say it is not what I really execpted, all i can say the food there is great, except one time i had fried rice and it seemed a little burnt, but once i told them about it they apologized qucikly and gave me a new one, and for free of charge. The service gotten there is average, becuase at times the service is amzing while at other times, i need t call the waitress for more water. But over all i would recommend it becuase again the food there is great espeacially the lemon ch.
Pros: food, and cheap
Cons: the service at times, depends on who you get

We arrived at 11:30am on a Wednesday afternoon. Present were several working class people, city workers and a few people who looked a little rough. No biggie. We were there to eat, not socialize. The menu looked promising, with lunch specials at about $5.95 as well as a few Thai dishes.
I ordered Yushan chicken and he ordered a spicy chicken off the lunch specials menu. While they were described distinctly different, the sauces were identical. There was no chicken to speak of in either dish, just lots of cheap vegetables. I ordered white rice, he ordered fried rice. Both were cold and they had only just opened minutes prior to our arrival.
I ordered egg drop soup, he ordered hot and sour. Both were awful and essentially inedible. My egg drop soup tasted "burned", if that is even possible.
fFnally, the fortune cookies were stale.
We wont be back - there are lots of Asian choices on Federal and Alameda which is only about 2.5 miles away. They far exceed this place by light years both in authenticity and quality. Life is too short to eat bad food.
Cons: food quality, cleanliness

I have found in my life if a place tries to do more than one type of food (i.e. Chinese, Thai, or whatever) they never get any of them right. I was reading the previous positive review and needed people to know the truth. This place was not good. It seems to me the owner may have written the positive review because I'm pretty sure he'd be the only person that liked the food from this place. The food was not fresh, the crabragoon were dry, and the Kung Pao Chicken was stale (peanuts and chicken). What makes a chicken taste stale you may ask...well honestly I don't know but this place made that happen. I would not go here again and would never suggest anyone does.
Pros: It's cheap...
Cons: It's not good food...

This is my first time writing a review, But seeing the SideWok Cafe get a review I was shocked. SideWok Cafe Chinese Restaurant, is and amazinf resturant that is Family Bussiness. If you been there once they will know you. Even though you may see the owner's kids there, most of help out. Usually I get pickup becuase it is the quickest, it only takes about 10-15min. If I do delivery, it depends on how busy they are they always tell me. The quickest I've gotten is 30 mins, and the slowestis 60 mins. There delivery drivers are very friendly to me. Every time I go there to eat, I get the best service. I will get m water right away, and what I like the most is that the waitresses don't fight over the tables. They will help each other out. Every time I go to Side Wok Cafe, it feel very homey to me. One Thing however is that when it gets overly busy it takes a while to get my food, when I am dining in.
Even though I have a chinese Restaurant close by, I would pick Sidewok Cafes Food anyday. One of my favorites there is there Thai food, and I also love there Crabrangoons, and the meal Hong Kong Steak!!yum yum
Pros: Food, service
Cons: Sometimes the food, takes awhile to get to you if they are busy
