Reading other reviews on citysearch about Barolo from a few years back, I can hardly believe people are writing about the same restaurant. I've been to Barolo on a few different occasions, my birthday, when family was in town, etc, and each time it has been superb. The waitstaff has been friendly, prompt and knowledgable, and the food amazing. The tasting menu (5 courses of food with wine) is a great way to go to sample lots of great things. I would absolutely recommend Barolo to anyone looking for a great meal with all the bells and whistles. Pros: Great Service, Great Food, Great Ambiance

My wife and I celebrated our 4th anniversary here. Upon arriving here with our 6PM reservations we were treated like royalty. Good fortune smiled on us when we were give table #20 (fireside) without even asking! This was our second visit to Barolo's and the great times started as soon as we took our seats. Waiter was promt and VERY knowledgeable with wines. Our delicacies arrived and were spectacular in presentation and taste. A great balance of texture and flavor contrasts. My wine was paired wonderfully with the chef's selection of my food. Highly recommended for any occasion or even just if your hungry for AUTHENTIC Italian food with an upscale and comfortable ambiance.

The Chef and his staff create dishes as close to Piemonte as one can get highlighting fresh seasonal dishes featuring the truth of the food. Hot things are served hot and cold dishes are served cold. The Italian wine list is superb, and the wait staff is very knowledgeable regarding the food and wine menus with their passion for both enhanced by trips to Italy. It also included a small glass of wine paired for the selection. If you've ever had difficulty selecting a bottle of wine with different entrees and appetizers, etc. this is a great way to go. The food was wonderful as was the wine selections. Ambience was fine...we were seated in one of the booths and that was certainly a preference. Observed a wide variety of patrons outfitted in everthing from shorts to dresses and jackets and kids in tow.(Colorado is still Colorado). Pros: Entree/Wine pairing, Valet available Cons: Casual and elegant??

After all of the hoopla about Barolo's, I was extremely, EXTREMELY disappointed in the overall quality of food for the price, service, and ambiance. Customers are packed in like cows waiting to be slaughtered so the entire place was extremely noisy. Waitstaff took 20 minutes to refresh drink orders, food orders were slow to arrive, and friendliness was absent. Food was mediocre for the price - go to Pagliacci's for some REAL Italian in a REAL Italian atmosphere for local flare, and Maggianos or Buca de Beppo for the chain fare. Cons: Quality for your $$, Crowded and noisy

We arrived at 7:30 and the manager was very friendly and nice. However, the server was unusually slow. The server left our dinner plates in front of us fro 40 minutes while we watched him walk aound the restaurant. AND, he didn't even bother to give us bread. Needless to say, I was very disappointed in the service and feel that for the cost of the food, you should get not only a good meal, but a great server. Pros: no smoking, manager is nice Cons: SLOW service, SLOW service, SLOW service

We went to Barolo Grill for my birthday and had the fixed price menu with wines. It was phenomenal. Although the wrong entree was brought out for me, they made up for this by serving me an extra glass of wine and serving us both some palate-cleansing sorbet while we were waiting. Overall the service, food and atmosphere were excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion.
