The botanic gardens are such a great place to walk around and enjoy the sights and smells of all the lovely flowers. There are so many nice places to sit and enjoy a picnic. The water falls are beautiful and it offers so many photo opportunities. It is a bit pricey to go, but they offer several free days each year.

This is not only a gorgeous way to take a break form everyday life, but it's also a great place to host your event. As a wedding officiant, I have occasion to perform ceremonies at a number of sites around the area. The Botanic Gardens is always one of my favorites. The variety of gardens offers something for everyone and it's just such an elegant place to tie the knot!
In addition, they have periodic free days throughout the year, which is a great way to soak up the atmosphere without breaking the bank. Stroller-friendly, too! Great day with your honey or your girlfriends and the best ways to get inspired for your own home gardens.

I've really enjoyed the Botanic Gardens, as a visitor and as an educator. -They have a variety of specialty gardens, like the Japanese Garden and Monet Garden. Kids can enjoy their own Secret Path, and they can check out interactive backpack kits that teach them about bugs and plants. A tropical conservatory offers visitors the opportunity to walk through what feels like a rainforest here in arid Colorado! The DBC hosts annual events like cactus and orchid shows. It's a fun place to visit.

The wife and I went here to scope it out as a possible location for our wedding. We didn't end up doing it (it is a bit pricey to rent out an area there) but we had a great time exploring anyway. Mostly I enjoyed hanging out with her, but the orchid tree and the roses were also pretty cool. She liked the indoor tropical area the most and, being a plant nut, had a great time telling me about epiphites and bromiliads and who knows what else. It was a fun time for both of us, and I'd recommend it as a great date destination for any lovebirds... just remember to bring some sunscreen and bottled water, because it does get hot walking around outside and for some reason it was hard for us to locate water. (The little restaurant by Monet's garden gave us a couple dixie cups full, but it wasn't quite enough)

This is a beautiful garden in a great part of Denver. There are a variety of garden types to wander through with lots of plant species. Bring a picnic lunch. The best way to enjoy this park is to attend one of the summer concerts. They have activities for the kids too.
