I am not one to usually spend time writing a review, but after my last visit, I feel compelled to tell the world. In these tough times a lot of restaurants are changing their menus, offerring value and trying to keep people coming in the door. I went to Sullivan's with some girlfriends for drinks and dinner and we had great food, service and most importantly, HOSPITALITY. With the world of discounts and deals, the servers at most restaurants are watching their tips dwindle and it conveys in the service. Sullivan's really gets the most important thing in the restaurant, ME. We enjoyed some great steak and seafood on their "Summer menu" , but we were treated by the staff and management that we were spending $1,000 per person.
Thank you for caring about the most important thing in any business, the Guest!
Look forward to my next visit!!
Pros: Hospitality
Cons: None

I first went to Elway's a few years ago when it first opened. I remember the scene very well - very "see and be seen" with our favorite Cherry Creek cougars getting sloshed on $15 martinis at the over-polished bar. I can't say I cared for it. The entrees were slightly above-average with unnecessarily large portions and the side items cost a fortune. It all lead up to an annoyingly pretentious experience. I tried again about 3 weeks after this experience and had the same result - so I decided to write Elway's off my list. I'm glad a friend talked me into going back - this time for Brunch. We're some of those people who "brunch" nearly every weekend. We try new places each time - and have a few favorite standbys (Le Central for $2 mimosa Saturdays - Vita for their fab french toast - Lucile's for the beignets). This particular week, we were doing some shopping and decided to go to Elway?s. It was pouring, and the valet was extremely attentive, and even managed to keep my shoes dry. The brunch entrees were extremely reasonable in price - and the portions were perfect (if not a little big!) When I say reasonable - I mean $7 for a full meal. Yes...$7. Some entrees also include crab or steak (worth it!) for a reasonable $15-20. No crazy side item upcharges, just great food in a quiet atmosphere (the cougars were asleep, I surmised).
So go there for brunch - and if you're penny pinching - skip the still-pricey mimosas and try the gourmet coffee.
Pros: Affordable brunch!
Cons: If you stay past 3pm...watch out for the bar crowd.

It's pretty much the best place, ever. All you can eat food, all you can eat sopapillias, and flippin' cliff divers, people! Cliff divers being chased by MONKEYS! And sheriffs! And pirates! There's like mariachis, and black bart's cave, and video games, and fortune tellers, and all sorts of awesomeness! Beg you parents, I know I do every day!
Seriously though, kids love it, and the food ain't exactly the draw. It's truly an experience. A big, cadillac-pink experience.
Pros: Fun, Cliff Divers, Pirates, Monkeys
Cons: Food

We celebrated my bf's 30th birthday this Friday at Vita and it had an awesome time. We had reservations and got there early so had mojitos on the roof top and the view was amazing. Our server for dinner was wonderful, very attentive, and made great suggestions. Neither of us knew if we liked scallops so we tried the scallop app on our servers suggestion and it was absolutely delicious! Our dinners were both tasty, as well. The server heard it was my bf's birthday and gave us a comp champagne toast. The jazz music was great during dinner. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Vita and cannot wait to go back!!!!!
Pros: mojitos, atmosphere

We LOVE this place. It is perfect for a easy going date night or going out with friends. Friday and Saturday nights get busy so arrive early and parking can be a mess, but the food, beer, and prices are worth the wait and the parking frustration.
Pros: Food, prices, and local attractions
Cons: Parking and crowded during peak hours

Appaloosa is my favorite bar in Denver. The second time I ever went there years ago, the bartender remembered what I drank. Appaloosa is known in the community for four special things: 1) the great staff, 2) great all-natural beef ("Heritage Highland") and other fare served late, 3) fantastic live music seven nights a week! Finally, 4) the bar itself is perhaps the oldest in Denver and dates back to 1806! Many complain that it is too loud when bands play, and to them I say, "wah wah, cry baby, CRY!" If you don't like live music, go somewhere else...duh! Bars cannot be all things to all people, and Appaloosa is everything I could ask for in a bar and more!

We always have a great time a the Buckhorn. The service is always excellent; curtious and time welled in between courses. The appetizers are great. Don't complain about rattlesnake or alligator or cow testicles, it is what it is.
Whenever family visits we bring them here and they always have a great time and enjoy the food.
Thank you!
Pros: Excellent service, food, portions, atmosphere
Cons: pricey,no beer on tap(but a good selection of bottled beer)

This is a great place to listen to live music, have a few drinks and sample off the new menu from the new Chef/Owner (who also happens to be a form of entertainment himself!). Both patios are great - the back patio is very intimate, and the inside is very unconventional with multi-levels and different rooms. Has a good feel - a good "soul".

Me and a couple of friends went to Soleil for a casual dinner, and we all agreed that the food was absolutely outstanding! The roasted garlic was out of this world and our cheese plate was phenomenal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is reminiscent of Spain and the decor is tasteful and not imposing at all. The wine recommended by the waiter turned out to be perfect, and he even let me and my friend split a glass after we finished off the bottle. I have recommended this restaurant to EVERYONE I know.
Pros: Atmosphere, food, wine
Cons: pretty small - probably not good for large groups

We're from Vegas, and have traveled the world tasting food from various hotels and privately owned restaurants. We got the special when we were at Bravo! and this short Asian guy was our cook for the night. We were watching him cook through the open kitchen. The food was amazing! Later found out from other sources, that it was his recipe and his special for the night. I asked for seconds.
Truely, this young kid knows his food, spices, and how to entice emotions from his cooking. I can only call him . . . Dr. Watson...bringing chemistry into his food.
Watson elevated Italian cuisine, brought it east, and presented it with bravado unexpected in a chef so unheralded, so young, so . . . Watson is pulling punches on the flavors that established his brand in the future. I hope this kid keep up his cooking and bring us more flavorful food that taps into our emotions.
I went back the next night and he was not working. I would have to say the food was only average. Is this even an Italian Restaurant? Who came up with that menu? Where is that special I am craving for?
Pros: Great Specials from a cook Watson! Very artistic and kind kid.
Cons: Doesn't have an Italian Menu. Not really Italian unless it's the Specials.
