Need a place to stay and want it cheap, safe and clean? Look no further than the Comfort Inn downtown. When the managers of my apartment quickly announced we'd be without water for 72 hours due to emergency repair last winter, I booked a couple nights at the Comfort Inn. After mentioning it to some of my neighbors, they sort of invited themselves over. The next thing you know, an impromptu party developed. I was honest about it with the front desk, and he searched until he found a room as far away from the other occupied rooms as possible. The amenities are minimal, but the location is great and the employees will go the distance for you. So if you have unexpected guests coming into town and they're aghast at the "high prices" of everything in Denver, steer them towards the Comfort Inn and you'll get to hear far less about it.
