Well, my girlfriends and I decided to meet at this cozy little place in an effort to change it up a bit. We were VERY pleased! The service was great! Very neat atmosphere. It was like we were at a cafe in France.
I ordered Pain Perdue, which is two fluffy pieces of french toast, served with a cup of vanilla custard and a cup of fresh fruit. TO DIE FOR!
And affordable too! My Pain Perdue cost only $7. And their Mimosas are only $2!!

I "re-tried" this restaurant during 5280 week. Hadn't eaten at it in almost 25 yrs as I do not work downtown any longer. After the absolutely creative, tasty and well-priced meal I had during 5280, it most certainly will not be 25 yrs before I eat there again. It is now back on my favorite restaurant list and will eat there often. The quality of the food was outstanding, service was excellent, very authentic French food. I was just recently driving all over France eating in small family restaurants and the quality of Le Central rivaled the best of them.
Pros: Creative Dishes, Great Quality, Great Value Price
Cons: Parking

I have been to Aix multiple times in the past few months. I recently moved to Uptown and wanted to find a place where I was comfortable and felt like a valued guest when there. Aix is it. Their menu has changed recently and has gone back to "Modern French Cuisine"; this I couldn't be happier with. The Marrow Encrusted Filet Mignon falls apart with a butter knife; it's one of the best steaks I've ever tried, and I'm not even a huge red meat fan. The House Salad is by far the best in Denver; mixed greens, warm pears, melted brie and the BEST dressing I've ever had, a maple vinaigrette. I finished my meal with their Creme Brulee, a Cherry Creme Brulee, again, the best I've ever had.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is what topped it off for me; it's small and quaint, yet surprisingly I didn't feel crowded. My server was excellent, was able to pair a wine with my meal for me, suggested everything I had ordered as her favorite and was extremely well educated of their menu. Love, love, loved it! Aix, thank you, and I will be back!

Decided to eat here after reading a lot of good reviews from 5280 and citysearch. Was not disappointed. Had to wait a while for a table, but the bartender, Max, was great and we were comped a drink for the wait. The food was amazing. Yes, you will spend about $20 per plate (sides and salads $4-6 extra), but it is worth it. You can tell there is a great deal of care that goes into preparing the food. My wife had the classique steak frites--she doesn't normally eat red meat and she loved it. I had the trout--it was absolutely delicious. The service was first rate...our friendly server provided honest and useful advice on the menu, recommending what was tasting good that night. All told, with drinks, soup, salad, entrees, dessert, and tip, we spent $88 and it was worth every penny.
Pros: Great service; Great Food
Cons: None

Paris Coffee Roasting is a fantastic coffee shop. Their food and coffee is top-notch, and while it does command a premium price, the quality is very high. Their coffee is freshly roasted and they get their chai and other teas specially blended from a local spice shop. When you support Paris Coffee Roasting, not only are you supporting a local small business, but one that works with other small businesses in the area. The people who work at Paris are great. I've never had a single problem with the service. When you go into Paris late at night, when the place is packed, you'll still get great service. The wait staff are attentive but not annoying and get your order right every time.
I'm more than happy to drive half an hour to Paris Coffee Roasting multiple times per week because of the quality of food and drinks, the great people working there, and the fact that I'm supporting a small business.
Pros: Great Food And Coffee
Cons: None

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Denver. The atmosphere is wonderful whether you are in the mood to eat by one of the fireplaces inside, have brunch on the patio, or have drinks in the bar. This restaurant is extremely cozy, the staff is genuinely friendly and helpful, and the food and wine make the experience complete. Try everything on the happy hour food menu at least once; my favorites are the sweet potato fries, both sets of sliders, the cheese flights, and the spinach artichoke dip. The entrees and salads are also fantastic and reasonably priced.
Pros: Parking across the street, happy hour 7 days a week from 3-7

I agree that this place is one of the top 5 restaurants in Denver, if not the best French in town. But I haven't been to French 250 yet - will write a review when we get there. My husband and I have been to Z Cuisine 4 times in the last year, and would go more often if it wasn't so expensive. But every time we go, we want to throw financial caution to the wind b/c the food is so good. The menu is very limited, but the dishes coming out of the kitchen are authentic - the best charcuterie plate I've had, just as good as France. The cassoulet is sublime as well, done correctly. We always arrive just as it opens, so we don't have to wait - good thing, b/c it's always crowded by 6p. We've learned to ask for what items they are running low on at the beginning of the meal - we would've missed the amazing chocolate croissant bread pudding if we hadn't! The only thing that irritates us is the fact that there are some dishes in size and creation that would usually be considered appetizers (cheese plate, salads), but the "app" prices cost the same as full entrees! That's why we don't do full 3-course meals here. We usually do a bottle of wine, two "apps", one entree, one dessert & coffee, and it still usually costs around $150 incl tip. Still, it's worth it!!
Pros: Authenticity, cozy ambience
Cons: Limited opening days, menu, crowded

If you like trendy, don't go here. If you like chain restaurants, don't go here. If you like very good, old-fashioned Italian food that tastes Italian and not influenced by the southwest, eat here. Mikey's is the best. The homemade spaghetti is wonderful. Everything is wonderful.
Pros: Everything
Cons: nothing
