Not sure why anyone would ever give this place a bad review. It has to be one of the best places in all of Colorado. The food was the real type of Italian that one would find in rural Italy - not the Americanized spaghetti-type of red sauce and pasta. This place is the real deal!
I ordered the pork loins and could cut it with a fork - it simply melted in my mouth. The burrata was fresh and creamy and the deserts were out of this world! My boyfriend had Opa belly and was buttery and delicious. I think one can only find the best fish in high-end Italian restaurants such as this one.
The whole experience was wonderful. I especially liked chef Andrea - he is extremely personable and authentic. He even remembered us from the last time we came in. This place takes the cake!
Pros: Phenominal food - excellent experience
Cons: Parking

I?ve been to the Capital Grille for special occasions, business lunches or for a nice cocktail on a week/weekend night. The ambiance is classy but not stuffy and I?ve always been treated very well there. My steak of choice would be the Delmonico, a 22oz marinated ribeye with plenty to take home. The lobster bisque is delicious and I can?t say enough about the lobster macaroni and cheese or the coconut cream pie.
They are also known for their stoli doli martini?s, pineapple that?s been soaked in vodka then shaken with ice and poured into a chilled martini glass.
Check it out!
Pros: Great service and atmosphere
Cons: Extensive wine list

Food's excellent, atmosphere's excellent. A little expensive, but sometimes you get what you pay for, and this place is better than most any place else for the price (or any other price) in the city, in my experience. Great seasonal menu done very well.
Pros: excellent food and atmosphere

Popular Lodo restaurant that can be very crowded on the week-ends. The oysters are great and so are the crab cakes with horseradish sauce. The menu has non-seafood choices for those that don't eat sea critters.

My spouse and I tried this restaurant for our 20th anniversary. The food was fabulous! We ordered the crab appetizer, the scallop bisque soup, the seasonal pasta dish (which was hand rolled tortellini in a lemon sauce) and the salmon with crab stuffing special. I honestly don't remember having such a great meal anywhere else. Even the bread and honey butter was great. The service was a little slow because there was only one waiter and there was a huge conference/party, but it made the evening a little more paced and enjoyable. Parking is suppose to be free in the back of the restaurant, but I think you have to valet. It was a little unclear. We ended up finding a spot on the street. The outdoor patio was nice. Lots of traffic, but good people watching. Will definitely return to try their happy hour and/or their jazz nights.
Pros: Great food, outdoor patio
Cons: Parking

My daughter suggested I try this restaurant. I was sceptical because I'm not a huge seafood fan but WOW! As soon as we walked in the door it was an amazing experience until the moment we walked out. The decor of a 30's cruiseliner was breathtaking. I took a risk and tried the Mahi Mahi which was cooked to perfection. We also got the hashbrown side dish that complimented it very well. Our server was very knowledgable on all the wines and paired a great wine with my fish. The cheesecake dessert was also to die for. I will definetly be returning to have another wonderful experience.
Pros: Atmosphere is wonderful

For an enticing culinary experience, ask for the chef's choice tasting menu in the Palace Arms, and have the very able sommelier match wines to each course. You will be delighted at the sheer creativity and symphonies of flavors, and the portions are keyed to an extended evening of pleasure. Surprises in every bite, and very high quality ingredients.
We recently had our 25th anniversary dinner there; the well-selected treat was a blend of traditional (escargot soup, table-side caesar salad) and innovative (pork belly and poblanos; white fish in suberb sauce, etc. etc.). Everything was seasoned and garnished to perfection. The staff was attentive, and the chef Thanawat Bates came over to see how we liked every course.
Save up your pennies, and instead of going with the regular menu items, make it fun and very memorable for yourselves AND the kitchen staff.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Denver. The atmosphere is wonderful whether you are in the mood to eat by one of the fireplaces inside, have brunch on the patio, or have drinks in the bar. This restaurant is extremely cozy, the staff is genuinely friendly and helpful, and the food and wine make the experience complete. Try everything on the happy hour food menu at least once; my favorites are the sweet potato fries, both sets of sliders, the cheese flights, and the spinach artichoke dip. The entrees and salads are also fantastic and reasonably priced.
Pros: Parking across the street, happy hour 7 days a week from 3-7
