There's a good chance you'll be waited on by the owner himself at this charming little Italian restaurant. Great food, satisfying portions (you'll have enough for the next day's lunch) artistically prepared and congenial but non-intrusive service make this my favorite spot for both dates and family gatherings. Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you--this place is tops and it's also reasonably priced. Full service bar, too.

If you have a taste for some or a gyro, Yanni's is the best! I believe it is a family owned restaurant, which makes it a comfortable, friendly environment! My husband and I went there for our anniversary and we treated so well! We got free drinks and dessert! Opa!

It was my friends birthday on a monday and all the places she suggested were closed. So I got online and saw they are still running the 2 dine for $52.80 special on Mondays and Tuesdays (it was a promotion from 5280 Magazine from a couple of weeks ago.) - so we decieded to try it. It was a 3 course meal and every bit was delicious.

This place has the best fish and chips in denver for it being a land locked state. My husband is from California and LOVES fish and chips and this gives him a little taste of home. They get very busy during lent especially on Fridays. Moderately priced after all it is fresh seafood. Clam chowder is reccommended. Pick up any other great fried stuff!

Lookin Good serves great food to a largely geriatric and proletarian clientele. Located scant blocks from Notre Dame church on Sheridan, it's a favorite with the apres-Mass and pre-Broncogame crowd.
I haven't had anything there that I didn't like. Only once did I ever get served by someone who was less than friendly and attentive, and she didn't last a week. On the other hand, the place seems to attract a loyal waitstaff and regular clientele for whom "go to work" and "go out to eat" mean Lookin' Good.
And who wouldn't frequent a place with a variety of American, Greek and Mexican dishes, as well as an attached bar and lounge. The food is great, the portions plentiful, and the atmosphere a kitschy blend of Greek souvenirs with a preponderance of Elvis memorabilia.
A great family restaurent, great for the "sandwich generation" that's on the hunt for a place to satisfy young and old alike. Not a place to take a date, unless you've been married to them for a few years.
Breakfast is done right! Great hash browns (crispy), eggs done to perfection. For lunch I recommend the fajita burrito or patty melt. And for dinner, their lamb is just like mom used to make (if your mom was Greek, like Angie, the mom who owns the place).
If you're looking for meticulously prepared delicacies, a wine list, and a romantic ambience, Lookin' Good is not for you. But if you're looking for consistently good food, with consistently great service, for a very reasonable price. Lookin' Good is the place to go, especially if you want to take the family out, not miss a minute of the Bronco's game, and walk out satisfied and feeling that life is good, even if the Broncos lost.
Pros: Great food, great and loyal waitstaff, reasonable prices, regular clientele, kitsch factor.
Cons: No wine list, no ambience, no signature dish per se.

Located in the old Aurora Broker, I've gone 3 times and am in love. Please give it a try. For the time being, it's not crowded, but for their sake I hope that changes soon. Nice people, terrific food, great service, easy to get to (just south of I-70 on Peoria.)

We were going to go to J's Noodles next door, but changed our mind at the last minute, as we've always wanted to try this place. We're so glad we did! I haven't been able to find five-spice beef in Denver that tasted as good as this since I lived in LA, where I grew up. The potstickers really are the best in town. The meat is perfectly spiced and I believe they're hand wrapped. So good! We haven't tried the Shanghai dumplings yet, but will next time we're there. Also, the portions are HUGE. If I order the dumplings ($6), they have to be shared or I can't eat anything else, b/c there are 10 per order. The prices are incredibly reasonable and the owners are really nice. The only thing is that it's dirty. The walls haven't been cleaned in ages, nor have the condiments on the table. When we go in, we just make a concerted effort to avert our eyes from the walls and pick up the soy and vinegar bottles with napkins.
Pros: Authentic
Cons: Dirty

If your looking for a nice restuarant with good food and even better prices - Pappa D's is it. I live on the East side of town and it's all fast food or mexican. It's great to have such a cozy neighborhood restuarant that costs a little more than a big mac meal deal but so much better. A friend of mine told me about it and if you don't know about it you won't ever know it exists. It's hidden back into the Mayfair neighborhood, but it's definatly worth finding.
Pros: Inexpensive, Good Food
Cons: Hard to find
