Well, my girlfriends and I decided to meet at this cozy little place in an effort to change it up a bit. We were VERY pleased! The service was great! Very neat atmosphere. It was like we were at a cafe in France.
I ordered Pain Perdue, which is two fluffy pieces of french toast, served with a cup of vanilla custard and a cup of fresh fruit. TO DIE FOR!
And affordable too! My Pain Perdue cost only $7. And their Mimosas are only $2!!

I "re-tried" this restaurant during 5280 week. Hadn't eaten at it in almost 25 yrs as I do not work downtown any longer. After the absolutely creative, tasty and well-priced meal I had during 5280, it most certainly will not be 25 yrs before I eat there again. It is now back on my favorite restaurant list and will eat there often. The quality of the food was outstanding, service was excellent, very authentic French food. I was just recently driving all over France eating in small family restaurants and the quality of Le Central rivaled the best of them.
Pros: Creative Dishes, Great Quality, Great Value Price
Cons: Parking

I am relatively new to Denver and a friend in town suggested we go there this past week for dinner. I went with a group of 6 and we had a great time. The staff were very good at their job and amusing to boot. The best thing I liked was when one of us suggested we order an entree that the server did not feel was a good value, he let us know. The wine list had a very good variety of options at reasonable prices. Most of the list was under the 50 dollar mark. Overall the food was very good and the portions were huge. We enjoyed ourselves and I feel I have found a restaurant worth returning to in Denver which isn't as easy as I thought it would be.
Pros: great value for a group
Cons: relatively hard to tell who serves there since they do not have a uniform

I LOVE Nine75~ Thanks to the new ownership for coming in and saving such a fantastic place. Parking is easy, the crowds are hip and fun, and the menu is very creative and delicious! (I recommend the surf and turf sushi roll) It's the perfect place to go after hitting up a downtown happy hour. I must say that last nights trip to Nine75 has made me a big fan. From the clean and stylish ladies rooms, to the throw back music, the decently priced wine selection, and of course our wonderful server...Jay "PIMP". (I told you I'd put you in this write up!) GO TO NINE75...It's fantastic!
Pros: great bathrooms, unique menu items, atmosphere and crowd, great service
Cons: none this time around!

The main draw to this place is the bar scene. especially on summer evenings. its a great place to start with a few beers (tecate $2) or one of the many margaritas. (skip the house marg and pay the few xtra bucks for one of the specialties) and then move into the dining room for dinner.
this is not your typical rice and beans mexican, it requires just a little more sophisticated palate but the food is excellent. just dont go there expecting a burrito. ive tried several dishes and all of them were great.
i live in the neighborhood so im there often and the only thing that bothers me about the place is this one bartender. she is so snotty and opinionated and probably one of the ugliest people to carry such baggage. totally offensive in both her manner and looks. just ignore her.
Pros: drinks and atmosphere
Cons: service could use some work

We went back to Pagliacci's to celebrate 40 years of marriage... It was where I proposed 41 years ago... We couldnt believe how great it was! We have returned over the years, but tonight was extra special! The music, the ambiance, everything just fit perfectly... Our server Eric (recently from the Bronx) was no stranger to Italian food, and agreed with us that the food was top choice! AND IT WAS! The Veal Parm was fantastic, and the Minestroni... well, what can you say.. Perfecto!. Eric made our evening extra special... we really enjoyed ourselves with salad, soup, our entree, and of course, some spamoni to top everything off... Naturally, we'll return home with our Chianti basket bottle to stick the candle in as a reminder of an extra special reminder of this evening and our first experience at Pagliacci's ... Thanks to the chef, and to Eric, our server, for an extra special evening in Denver!
Pros: food, ambience, service, everything
Cons: none

My friend and I were visiting Denver this past weekend and the concierge at our hotel recommened this wonderful restaurant. Chef Jennifer Jasinski is fabulous. We are from Houston and we thought we had good food in Houston, but nothing compares to the experience we had at Rioja. We had lunch there on Friday and we were back for Brunch on Sunday. Our waitress Shannon Austin was wonderful and really took care of us. Will we be back?? You bet!! We will fly to Denver just to eat at Rioja!!! Also, check out their other place Bistro Vendome...we ate there on Saturday for brunch. Both places created the best dining experience we have ever had.
Pros: Service, Food, Atmosphere
Cons: Non

We've tried the pizza all over Denver, and keep coming back to Parisi. The Margarita pizza is as good as anything we had in Italy. The crust is thin and crisp, the mozzarella is just to-die-for, and everything is fresh and in all the right proportions. I love all of the food at Parisi, but the Margarita is so good, I don't often stray to another pizza. But don't be afraid of the very affordable daily specials. I've never been disappointed.
Pros: Housemade mozzarella
Cons: Sometimes there is a wait

I dined at Luca D'Italia recently with my husband after reading the owner/chef cured his own meats. The appetizer sampler was the only dish that was solely his own cured meats so I thought we would try just that. It was so amazing we stayed for more! Nothing we tried disappointed us... We shared different appetizers, a butternut squash pasta, a lasagna (not at all what you're thinking!) a tuna tartare... all were delightful. The chef came to our table and chatted with us and the service was excellent. It was such a special treat to go there.
